chapter 1

"Today is the day I'm going to shadow hunter academy," Clary said. I can't wait; that means I get to see James, Simon, Alfie, and Mark. They are my stepbrothers that I haven't seen in three years; I have missed them so much. At home, it's usually Jonathan, Sebastian, Arabella, and me. "Clary come down; its time for you to go to school." mom called me from downstairs. "Coming mom!" I grabbed my black leather jacket, weapons belt, my seraph blades and my green messenger bag. Arabella is waiting for me to make a portal. I have more angelic blood like Jonathan. I made a portal to school. It was really cool; it's quicker than riding a vampire motorcycle. When we went through the portal the first person I saw was my older stepbrother James. I ran as fast as I could and knocked him down. "Clary! Why did you have to attack me in front of everyone?" James asked. "I missed you so much James, how are you?" "I'm good besides you attacking me." Ha, very funny; where is Simon, Alfie, and Mark?" Arabella, James, and I were walking to the office. Ella was talking to Jace " who has been my crush since 1st grade. Ella is my worst enemy she has been bothering me for about 5 years. Jonathan, Sebastian, James, and mark have been by my side ever since. "Hey, fray brat," Ella said. "What do you want Ella?" "Oh nothing, but I'm going to challenge you in training." Well, I don't care, you know I'll beat you no matter what, Ella Herondale." Clary said.

  She finally walked away and my brothers and I went to get our schedules. Our first class was rune art with Mrs Gray. She has been my teacher since 7th  grade. "Hey Mrs Gray," Clary said. "Oh hey Clary how is my favourite student?" "Good, I brought my sketchbook." "I'm proud of you, go have a seat its time to sketch." I went to have a seat next Sebastian. I pulled out my sketchbook and started sketching what came to mind. It was my mom who died a few months ago. My brothers, sister, and I was taken in by Livia Blackthorn after my mother passed. She is a great adoptive mom. She has been helping me control my Angelic powers. When I found out I had powers it was so hard for me to control them. It was time for training, which I have to go against Ella Herondale. "Okay class who wants to go first," Hodge asked. I raised my hand very fast "Hodge, I would like to go first." "Okay Clary, who do you want to go against?" "I would like to go against Ella Herondale." "Alright, Clary and Ella head to the mat." I walked to the mat, I looked around I saw my brothers at one corner of the mat just in case it gets out of hand. I put my hair up in a bun and grabbed one of my seraph blades.

Before she could move I punched her in the face. She tried to hit back before she could I did a double back flip. She charged at me with her weapon she had. I put my blade up to block it, which made her fall to the ground. I kicked her in the stomach and slid right behind her to trip her. She fell to the ground passed out. Of course, I got to fight Jace and I beat him also. I was getting out of hand James had to stop me from killing anyone, of course I got an A+. It was time to go back to the institute with Jonathan and Sebastian. I made a portal that took us back home. Arabella went to stay at Alec and Izzy's place since we go to the same school. I invited my stepbrothers to come but they had to go to my dad's institute. At least I get to see them tomorrow.
