Hermione, Ron, and Harry were all eating dinner in the Great Hall.

Harry's eyes couldn't help but wander in the direction of the Slytherin table. He caught glimpse of Draco's radiant platinum hair.

"Hey, Harry." Ron says.

No answer.

"Harry." He repeats.

Still no answer.

"Harry!" He practically shouts.

The raven haired boy jumps, "blimey, Ron!"

"You weren't answering, mate."

"Sorry, I was zoned out..."

"Clearly." Ron says, "Well me and Hermione are gonna go back to our room... you might not wanna come in." He shyly chuckles.

A disgusted look plasters across Harry's features. "Don't worry. I won't."

Harry had nowhere to go, since Ron and Hermione were probably sucking off each other's faces in his room, so he goes where he always does when he's got nowhere else to go. Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom.

As he approached the empty corridor, the sounds of muffled sobs grow louder.

Harry enters the bathroom quietly and tiptoes around, careful to not startle whoever it was. He peeks around the corner-- who he saw was not what he was expecting.

"Malfoy?"

Draco sees Harry a few feet behind him in the mirror. He whips around and draws his wand.

"W-wait! I'm not here to fight you." Harry puts his arms out to show he's being honest.

Without lowering his wand, Draco takes a small step towards Harry. "Go away, Potter!"

"Malfoy-"

"I said go away!" His words stung like venom.

"I want to help you!"

Draco now slowly lowers his wand. "You can't..." he whispers through sniffles and tears.

"Just tell me what's wrong." Harry moves closer.

"My father..." he attempted to withhold the water works, " w-wants me to become a death eater, but I'm not like him... I'm not evil."

"I-I'm sorry..."

"Don't be. You have no part in this."

Harry gives him a sympathetic look.

Draco pauses for a moment. "Why do you even care?" He blurts, "you hate me."

"Who said that I hate you?"

Draco is frozen in confusion. "You've made it clear from the beginning that you didn't want to be friends."

"Well, I guess I'm giving you a second chance... if you want one that is" Harry says softly.

"I would like that."

Harry gives him a warm smile. "Well I've better get going then."

"Wait-"

"Hmm?"

"T-thank you." Draco wasn't used to thanking people, this was strange for him.

"You don't have to thank me."

"No one's ever helped my like this before, so I'm going to thank you."

"Well then I guess you're welcome." Harry giggles.
