"i thought we're keeping our families away from this?" i ask in a calm manner to benjamin. he let out a sheepish grin and scratch his nape, "actually.. i accidentally said it to hannah and then she told to the whole family. now they wanted to meet you,"
i huff, and shut my eyes. "pasalamat ka i'm in a good mood today. when do they want to meet me?" i cross my arms and he smiles, "you can come for a dinner tonight, if you are free."
i checked my phone if i have anything to do tonight. meh, i'm free. unfortunately. why is benjamin so daldal kasi? i should've taped his mouth next time.
"alright, i'm coming there tonight." i declare and he nods. he, then, grabs his phone and typed something. he must be texting his parents about the announcement. gosh, i feel so nervous.
"let me drive you home," he offers and i shake my head, "no way, benjamin. my brothers will question us. you know, overprotective brothers." i tell gim and he chuckles, making his eyes go chinky.
"fine. but maybe i could drive you until the gate of your village lang?" he akss ans i roll my eyes, "you're so mapilit, benjamin ryan. sige na nga," i say in surrender and he laughs. this guy, really.

"thanks for the ride, benjamin." i say as i unbuckle my seatbelt. he just nod and say, "no problem."
before i hop out of the car, he held my wrist. "what?"
"what's your house number?" he asks and i furrow my brows, "house number why are you asking, though?" i query and he let go of my wrist. "obviously, i'm fetching and driving you home tonight." he replied with a 'duh' tone.
i groan and tell him my address. he typed it in his notes on his phone and i bid a goodbye before hopping out of his car. sigh, thankfully my house is just three blocks from the gate of the village.
"you're sweaty." the first thing luke, my eldest brother, said when he saw me. i roll my eyes and put my leather satchel backpack on the ground, i plop myself on the couch, "i walked kasi from the gate. it's very hot pala ngayon."
"well, it's a bit colder na nga ngayon than last month we arrived here." he replied and i nod in agreement. "i know, nakaka-miss rin pala weather ng england." i state and he just shrug it off.
"i'm going to my friend's house tonight, by the way." i announce and harry, my another older brother, came from the kitchen. "what're you gonna do there, though?"
"they invited me over dinner," i casually reply and my brothers just nod, meaning they'll let me go tonight.
i head upstairs to have a rest before getting ready. when 7:00 pm striked on the clock, i get myself ready. i wore a nude pink 1940s chiffon dress and matched it with ballerina shoes with the same color.
i didn't put much make-up; just brows and lip tint. then i put my hair down because i'm to lazy to fix it. i don't need to dress up for tonight; it's just a dinner. well, a family dinner with my 'boyfriend's' family.
around 7:15, i heard a honk outside the house. i quickly grab my phone and rush downstairs before one of my brothers open the gate.
"kuyas, i'm goi-" i freeze when i see benjamin inside our house, shoot. "oh, uh, hello." i stutter and give him a little wave. ugh, my brothers really have long legs.
"i've heard he's you boufriend, that true?" luke asks ans i mentally roll my eyes, i eyed benjamin and give him a look. i bite my lip, "well, i guess i am her boyfriend." benjamin announces and i almost fainted.
harry and luke just nodded, "hm, okay." harry shortly responded, "kaya pala ininvite ng dinner." luke mutters and i roll my eyes. i grab benjamin's hand, "we gotta go, see you later guys!" i say and rush out of our house.
i should've just asked one of my brothers to drive me there instead.

"we're so happy to finally meet you, eva." tita maricel, benjamin's mother, says as we start to eat dinner. i smile, "likewise, tita." i take a bite on my steak. i'm sitting between benjamin and his brother, donny. these two are giants.
"you know, eva, benjamin won't stop talking about you the other day." hannah, his older sister, tells me and i glance at benjamin. "really, hannah? he never told me he's telling kwentos to you guys." i speak while looking at him like i wamt to kill him.
what is he saying to them, though? i have a really bad attitude that even my own brothers aanted to abandon me before. benjamin barely has something good about me to tell to his siblings or to his family,
"it'a true, ate eva! my kuya benjamin really looks like inlove with you. i'm very glad you're his girlfriend. he told me you're really sweet, kind, caring, thoughtful.." solana, his little sister, keeps om babbling and i giggle.
if they just know how bad my attitude to benjamin before, they surely had abandoned and didn't accepted me. i'm thankful i have them as my second family; they're so kind i don't deserve them.
