As we pulled up to our old hotel, Billie put a hand on my arm, "wait, I don't think I'm ready..."
I took my fingers away from the door handle and smiled weakly back at him, "come on, we're practically there now. It'll be fine," I gave him a quick reassuring kiss before opening the door and getting out of the car. He soon did the same and we took our luggage inside.
"Long time no see," I heard from behind me as we got to our room and I spun to see Jason grinning in my direction.
"Jase!" I dropped my things and stepped towards him, hugging him tightly, "how have you been?"
"Yeah, not bad thanks. Hey, Bill."
Billie smiled thinly, "hey..."
"No hard feelings?" Jason asked timidly only for Billie to laugh and hug him as I had.
"Of course not. We've missed you."
"I've missed you guys too. What have you been doing while you were away?"
I shrugged, "just the usual; sightseeing, shopping, chilling out in the hotel... It's been nice."
"That's great," he checked his watch, "Listen I'm on my way out but I'll catch you later?"
"Yeah, band practice at three," I reminded him and he nodded.
"Great to see you guys again, catch you later!" He strolled off down the corridor and we let ourselves into the room.
I opened the door and took a step in, smiling at Billie behind me, "Come on, let's get unpacked."
He followed me inside and shut the door behind him, "thank god Jason's cool."
"I knew he would be, didn't I say everything would be okay?"
"Don't speak too soon," he muttered, sitting on the bed and letting his luggage drop to the floor, "we haven't seen Mike yet."
I sat next to him and hugged his shoulders, "it will all be fine, please stop worrying." I kissed his forehead, I won't let him be mean to my baby."
Billie frowned at me, "who you calling a baby?"
I smirked, "maybe I wouldn't call you a baby if you stopped whingeing about everything."
He pouted and I laughed before kissing his adorable lips, "come one, we need to get this stuff unpacked.""Or we could forget the clothes and..."
I chuckled, "and...?"
He rolled his eyes, "why don't you take an educated guess?"
"Make paper snowflakes?"
He laughed and grabbed my shirt, yanking me towards him, his face inches from mine, "if you'd rather make snowflakes then be my guest."
My smile faded as his breath brushed my lips and I found myself lost in his gaze. His eyes glistened with amusement and I struggled to collect my thoughts. I became flustered any time I really looked into those emerald orbs and I think he knew it becuase he always wore the same mischievous grin.
The witty comeback that I was about to spout out was quickly forgotten and I decided to kiss him instead of showing him how lost for words he made me.
He held me close to him until I pulled away and smiled. His eyes weren't amused anymore-they were full of adoration-and the fact that they held that for me was beyond my comprehension. I loved him, I really did, and my stomach fluttered at the thought. For a second I wanted to say it but I knew it was a huge step, however I couldn't catch the words before they left my mouth, "I think I-""Tré?" He said at the same time and we both blinked at each other. "Its okay, you go first."
I immediately backed out of it, "no, really it's nothing."
"Come on, what's up?"
"Really, I've kinda forgotten anyway. What were you going to say?"
"I guess... I don't know, I wanted to tell you that... I feel... I..."
"You what?"
"I wanted to tell you that I loved you, Tré."
I couldn't hide the stupid grin that I knew was on my face and I kissed him a little too enthusiastically, "I love you too."
He laughed and kissed me back, playfully pulling me onto the bed, "still wanna make those snowflakes?"
I chuckled, "well now I don't!"
