Hey, welcome to my attempt at writing a book. Hopefully it doesn't flop.

I worked hard on it and I hope you'll enjoy. If you have any suggestions, feel free to comment. :)

A/N: For anyone who was reading before, I edited the first five chapters in case you were wondering why things seemed a little different. The book is still under construction so just bare with me. We should be back on track by Chapter 6. Ok bye and again, enjoy!

Chapter 1: You Look Like the Girl from the Ring

Are you kidding me?!" I throw myself on my bed face first and let out a frustrated sigh. Mom had just told my brother and I that we're moving in with her boyfriend. She's been dating this guy named Michael Harrison for about a year now and apparently they've been getting pretty serious. Don't get me wrong, I've met Michael plenty of times and he's a cool guy, but I never expected that their relationship would get so serious so fast. The first thing you should know about Michael is he's filthy rich. Every time that I see him, he's somehow made me feel more poor than I've ever felt in my life. Expensive jackets, polished shoes, and new cars that I'm sure makes every man jealous, he literally has it all. To this day, I still don't know how many cars he owns, so far I've counted up to three.

They met at the record company Mom works at, one of the best actually. She's a record producer and A&R Director; a pretty well known woman. Michael on the other hand, is CEO of the record company, which pretty much makes him a millionaire. The guy is practically everywhere and everyone knows his name. But to me, he's just Michael. I mean I shouldn't even be explaining this; if you don't know him by now, then something's wrong.

So I'm sure you're sitting there thinking, Well that's not fair, not only does she have one of the best jobs in the building, but she's also in a relationship with the boss? Well you're wrong. Just because she's with Michael, doesn't mean she can get promotions or anything she wants. That's the last thing she wants. Mom would rather work hard to get what she wants rather than be given it. Me on the other hand, I wouldn't mind having all the free stuff. I mean c'mon, it's free, but Mom raised me right so that's out of the question.

I find my phone and immediately Facetime my best friend Zoey.

She picks up on the second ring, "Hey girl!" She says way too excited. Her face takes up most of the screen as she peers at me. Seeing her so happy makes me smile and I feel all my nerves dissolve. "What's up?"

"You would not believe what just happened," I start while rolling my eyes.

"Spill the tea, I'm bored." A smile fills her face and I can already imagine how curious she is.

"So my mom calls me into her room, and I'm thinking 'what now?' and when I get there, I see Nate sitting there too." I rant out, walking up and down my room. She raises one of her eyebrows and gives me a look.

"Yikes. Did y'all get in trouble or something?" She asks throwing a skittle in her mouth.

"No, Zoey let me finish cause it gets worse. I'm in her room and she tells me we're moving in with her boyfriend." I try not to yell as I think back to the conversation that happened about ten minutes ago.

"Michael? Millionaire Michael?" She asks nearly choking, her brown eyes wide. "Sis..."

"Yes, that Michael. So now I'm gonna be stuck living with a bunch of rowdy males." She laughs and her nose scrunches up a bit drawing my attention to her gold nose ring.

"Well Michael's hot, like in a sugar daddy sorta way, so how bad can those boys be?" She inquires. I roll my eyes disgusted.

"That's gross Zo, he's my moms boyfriend." I sigh and continue. "So that means I won't be at Hillview anymore," Zoeys smile falters. I've been going to Hillview High for three years now and I'm gonna spend my last year of high school at Ashton. I'll be leaving all of my friends and I'll have to make new ones. I'm not a very outgoing person, so this is going to be very hard on my end.
