JC
Cassandra's POV
Oh no! I still can't find the shed!!
I shimmy up another tree and look around. Nothing!
I sit there.
I'm still standing on a branch. I sit down and put my hands in my face.
I start crying. I can't find it!
I sit there for what is probably about another 10 minutes sobbing.
Finally, after I've gotten out all of my tears, I climb down from the tree.
I start walking in a random direction, hoping that I will find Jo, Jason, Lucas, and LJ.
After 40 minutes of walking, I hear something. Only, it doesn't sound human.
I gulp, and slowly inch forward. Soon enough, I enter a clearing. And in that clearing is a horrible sight. I see two of the undead. And someone else. It's alive though. A... Another human? I can't tell if it's a boy or a girl?
The small person looks to be about 12 or 13.
I can tell what the zombies are going to do. And hey won't.
I won't let then.
Before I can even think about my actions, I dart forwards yelling.
The two undead turn to me.
They snarl.
I gulp and rush forward. Using my sword, I jab the first in the stomach, managing to completely cut off its upper half. The other growls again and jumps me. I whip around, plunging my blade deep in its forehead. It falls to the ground, dead.
I look to where the person was.
I see that he's a small boy. He has blond tousled hair and pale skin.
He's wearing a torn ripped hoodie that is caked with dried blood.
He is tied at the wrists and is wiggling on the ground, glancing at me in fear.
I Slowly walk towards him
"Please don't kill me!" He screams. My eyes widen. He thinks I'm here to harm him. I shake my head.
"I'm not here to kill you. I'm here to help." I say softly. He stops moving.
"Really?" His eyes are looking into mine, to see if I'm telling the truth. I nod.
I once again move towards him. I help him sit up and move the sword to his hands.
He squeezes his eyes shut as I cut the rope bounding his hands together.
Once he's free he jumps to his feet.
"I- I have to go." He says quickly.
"You don't have anywhere to go, do you?" I ask him gently. For some reason he looks guilty. He shakes his head.
"No." I give him a small smile.
"Come on. You can come with me. I'm in a small group. Me, my two friends LJ and Jo, their younger brothers Lucas and Jason, and our dog Pickle." He looks surprised. I walk to him and put my arm around his shoulders.
"Let's go." I tell him. He just nods. I turn his body away from the monsters, who are starting to smell like rotted flesh.
Well, more disgusting rotting flesh than usual.
We walk for 2 hours. I still haven't found the shack and I'm very worried.
"Are we lost?" The boy asks quietly. I just now notice that I don't know his name.
