The male dressed in all green lead her through the forest, pipe still hanging from his lips.
"My dear, Wonderland is in grave grave danger. Usually our Alice would save us. But it appears she's no longer able to travel to Wonderland, even with the White Rabbit's help." He spoke, smoke leaving his lips with every breath.
"I'm still not quite understanding on why I'm here..." She spoke a lot gentler, the venom in her voice gone now that somebody was answering her questions.
"You need to save us." He spoke softly. "You're our next saviour."
"I-I can't be." Thats when she stuttered. "You're all waiting around for somebody called Alice, I'm just some girl who..." her voice trailed off.
That's where Wonderland sounded so familiar.
"Alice made our world into books, in desperate hope the next saviour read them and was pulled into our world to help." He spoke gently. "You read the books, didn't you?"
"Most definitely. They're famous world wide!" She exclaimed. "Those books have been out for decades now..."
"D-Decades?..." This time, his voice dropped. Whether it was with shock, sadness or anger - she couldn't really tell.
"Mhm." She continued walking until she realised her had stopped.
"H-How was I portrayed in the books?..." She had turned to face him.
"You're Caterpillar, right?" She asked softly. The man, who looked so delicate and breakable nodded. Smoke leaving his lips. "Brave, Smart, Mystical..." She could have went further. "She made you so lovable."
"Caterpillar is the name she gave me, to mask my identity on Earth if I was to ever need to go." He spoke softly. "She never mentioned my real name, did she?"
"No, never..." The two stood in the middle of the forest.
"Kim Namjoon." He spoke softly. "I'm Kim Namjoon."
After a minutes pause, the male shook his head, bringing his pipe back up to his lips.
"Never mind that," He seemingly forced a smile to his lips. "We need to get you changed into something more clean and comfortable." His hand brushed hers as he passed, heading towards a small cottage. "C'mon!"
She followed.
