Chapter 21

I headed home after school ended because Lia apparently has a family meeting and Dre seemed kinda caught up and he haven't even try to fill me in. I mean I'll ask him a thousand times what's wrong but his answers always remain the same.
I'm okay babe no need to be worried...

But guess what I'm still worried out of my mind because I have no idea what's going on with him.

Don't get me wrong he's the best boyfriend I ever get and I don't want to lose him but it's as if he's being distant and don't even know it.

No one's home as usual. I hate it. I wish I had a family to be around sometimes.

I began drowning in my thoughts once again until I hear a knock on the door. And I was hesitant to open it until I heard a fain voice "Babe are you home? "

I knew that voice anywhere and it's only two person that called babe and that's Lia and Dre.

I rushed to the door and opened it revealing my Dre.

He seemed so tired and it looks as if he was smoking. "Dre, what happened to you?" I spoke up." I'm okay babe no need to be worried"

See what I mean. He so hard to crack

I slightly shook my head and helped him inside because it looks as if he would fall at any moment.

"Are you okay?  Do you need anything?" I question looking at him. He seemed to be deep in thought.

"I don't mean to intrude but can I stay the night? I'm so tired."

"It's okay sweetie I was about to heat some left over rice and chicken I'll give you some before you sleep."

It's been almost 10 minutes and it looks like he's falling asleep. I couldn't allow him to go to bed without eating and by the way my mom will not be coming back until tomorrow so he can sleep as one as he wants.

C'mon up to my room and I'll give you a sweat pants to sleep  in.

He changed including me and we we're getting ready for bed until he mumbled "Thank you for accommodating me. I love you sweet cheeks good night baby." And I watched him as he drifted off to sleep.

"I love you even more and I hope that you'll tell me what's bothering you soon."

I felt the sun beaming it's ways in my face as twisted and turned before acknowledging the Dre was not here.

I felt my phone vibrated only bed showing a message from dre.

I'm sorry I didn't stay until u woke but I have some business to take care of. You'll get another chance to sleep with me again don't u worry. Thanks again for taking me in last night when I had smoked. I don't know what I'll ever do with out you I love you  baby girl 💑🐾😘💘💍

I smiled at his text and rested the phone back on my bed seeing that it's too early to take a shower.

Suddenly I started to smell food cooking and I knew mommy was back.

Yes I still call my mother mommy...

"Mommy! " I yelled. I missed her so much. Sometimes I don't feel our mother daughter bond anymore.

She looked up and smiled at me. I loved to see her smile.

"Hey sweetheart I made breakfast" she said handind me a plate of bacon, eggs, and pancake with a cup of coffee. She hasn't forgotten a detail about me.

"I'm so glad to see you mommy. I hope ur not going away anytime soon." I told her but she shook her head and this is the second thing that made my morning.

"We got lots of catching up to do." She told me with a small smile on her face.

"Of course we do" I finish the last of my breakfast and headed up stairs to get a shower and to get ready for school.

I headed back down stairs to see her reading a magazine and I ran over to her and pecked her on her cheek.

"See you later " and with that I heard Lia's car outside.

In no time we reached school and got our stuff for class.

For the entire day I haven't seen Dre and I wondered what happened since he texted me this morning.

The day was boring and went by fast. Dre stayed on my mind and I started to question why he started to skip school. What's so damn important?
