Chapter Eight Memories Come Back
High school was hell.
It always would be for anyone, no matter what group you were it, it was just that simple. But here at this Privet school, things always seem to run differently.
But this, were there even words to describe how much more worse this was then the average hell? Was there even such a thing as an average hell?
Even if it was for only four years, those short years sure had its way of feeling so damn long. The death of her mother still hurt so unbelievably bad, maybe she should have listened to her father and ditched a week of school to stay home, but that wasn’t right, and she didn’t want to get behind in her classes. That was the last thing she needed, and this was only grade nine… it made her dread what the other years were going to be like.
Tara sighed as she looked out the window of the school hallway with her elbow resting on the ledge. Ever since she had said that to Aaron he and his goons had been trying to get a chance to bug her. As if.
They even went so far as to even call her a flat chested pin, well the girl’s at least. Tara had breasts, at the moment they were A cup, to be fair they had called her this before she hit puberty, when she called her mother and told her she could still hear her mother on the phone.
“Oh congratulations Sweetie! I am so proud, I told you it would happen soon, your body’s maturing you’re growing up, and hey you’ll have a larger chest too!”
Tara blushed at she covered the mouth piece and whispered sharply. “Mom! Don’t say that! You have no idea about how my body will turn out!!”
“Sweetie, you and I share the same genes, we’re both skinny with high metabolisms that many of the girl’s in your school would kill to have, and I know for a fact that you will be the same size as me in a few more months! Do not doubt me on that.”
Evidently her mother, who was five foot eight, was a C thirty five.
Tara just looked at the phone for a moment. “Alright fine, whatever, if you say so… now may you please get here. I need stuff.”
Tara smirked at the memory; it was interesting in a comical way considering later when she came home at school her mother gave her a gold necklace that had a crescent moon with a pearl for an eye. She asked what the reason for it was, her mother responded with. “No reason, it’s just to symbols that you reached adulthood, the moon’s tide with your body depending on where it is.”
Then she later found out how much the pretty thing cost, even now she still couldn’t hind the heart to wear it, she loved it, but could never wear the thing out of fear of losing it.
“Hey there she is! Tara!”
Tara turned to see a very tall girl with short hair like that of a boy’s and side bangs covering her right eye slightly. Her uniform skirt, unlike some of the other girl’s here, and Tara’s, was long, it was a few inches above her ankles, and a long black sleeved shirt was underneath her uniform blouse.
The other girl had white hair with one black streak going through it on the left side; she was albino with pale skin and snow white hair. Tara thought it was awesome, her uniform skirt was like Tara’s, stopping to a bit past the center thigh, her uniform shirt though didn’t have the school’s tie; instead it had the star symbol for a witch, black lace wrist bands was what completed the outfit.
Tara had grown into the habit of looking at her own uniform when they had there’s, she looked plan in comparison, the only difference was that she didn’t bother to tuck in her uniform blouse and let her black and red stripped tie hand loose.
