Mizuki watched recorded videos of every public tag battle Yume and Subaru participated in. The Flabebe Festival, Snowbell City Gym, everywhere. "Those two, their bond is much stronger then I may have originally suspected," she said in a dramatic anime way "Maybe it's time I put them to the test. Maybe they'll have the power,"

Yume avoided any questions about the isskay  from the estivalfay. Subaru and Asahi had left the school property and were staying at the Kasumi Family Vacation house on UlaUla Island. Raichi and Alice were also on awkward terms. It's just awkward everywhere. They hated it. Their Pokemon were noticing the awkward air surrounding everyone.

"Comfey! "

The tiny Pokemon placed a flower crown on Yume's head. She smiled "Thanks Comfey,"

"Good morning babies!" Anna cried

"Lycan! "

"I have some good news! But I won't be telling you,"

"Then why did you tell us you had news?" Sena asked

"I  won't be telling you, but I think Mizuki might have a few words. Come on!" Anna and Lycanroc stepped to the side and Mizuki walked in!

"Mizuki!" Everyone gasped

"Hello, it's nice to see you all again," she said with a smile "I'm not sure if you heard about the Tag Battle Tournament on UliUli Island,"

"Um ... n-no, we didn't," said Alice

"Ralts! "

"Trainers will come together into pairs and compete for a win, as simple as that," Mizuki explained

"No duh," Kanata mumbled

"Heliolisk! "

"And ... you will be allowed to partner with someone outside of the school," Mizuki looked right at Yume when she said this. She wanted to die. "For a school assignment I want you to partner with someone and participate in the UliUli Island Battle Tournament,"

"Oh ... YES!" Haruka cried "Haruka wants to partner up with Kanata!"

"Eh, why me?" Kanata asked

"Cause Haruka has a lot, a lot, a LOT of fun with Kanata!"

"Aw, that's sweet," said Alice

"Then ... Sena's my partner," said Raichi "Cause ... well because,"

"I didn't agree to this," said Sena

"Who else will be your partner?"

"Hm ... heh, you got me," Sena grinned

"So that leaves Alice and me," said Yume "Do you want to partner up?"

"Us? I thought you'd partner with Subaru," said Alice

"Erm ... I don't know,"

"Maybe it's for the best," said Kanata "After all, if you two compete, there's no way we could win,"

Yume smiled "Yeah, I get it,"

"Get what?"

"You want me to partner up with Subaru anyway and just because of what happened at the festival," said Yume "You're saying that I should let what happened ruin our friendship (no matter how much I want to pound him for making everything awkward) and I should compete with him cause we're the greatest pair in history!"
