TV Reporter: Alola everyone. I'm here at Akala and am disturbed to find one of it's forest is mysteriously baron. Almost like the life had been washed from it. We have never seen anything like this, we have scientist working on a solution, but the cause or reason is still unknown.

"Ah! I remember the ol' switch a' roo!" Karen sighed happily as she, Yume, Gardevoir, and Greninja sat by the ocean on an empty beach with no people, just Pokemon.

"You tried it too?" Yume asked

"Yeah. I had Luxray and Mirai had Gardevoir for 24-hours," Karen smiled happily "It was a lot of fun,"

"Gar! "

"Did anything ... bad happen?" Yume asked, turning to Greninja

"Bad?"

"Like ... you accidentally gave your friends' partner a rash or something?"

"Ninja ...?"

"Well, no,"

"Oh, good," Yume smiled then turned to Greninja "So ... how do i get closer with Greninja?"

"Hmm ..." Karen thought about it for a moment "Well what does Subaru do with Greninja,"

"Um ... I think they would -"

"Eat," Subaru said as he handed Chesnaught a plate of doughnuts "Alolan doughnuts are the bomb, Chesnaught, try one,"

Chesnaught sniffed the pastry then ate it whole. "Ches! " he exclaimed, enjoying the treat.

Subaru chuckled "Yeah, I knew you would like it," Subaru began to nibble on his banana doughnut as he watched the large Pokemon eat to his heart content

"He seems to really like those doughnuts," said Mirai as she and Luxray walked over with their order of doughnuts.

"There his favorite treat," Subaru explained "He and Tomato have a thing for sweets,"

"Who?"

"Oh! I meant Yume," Subaru blushed slightly "Its a nickname I gave her from when we first met,"

"Oh," Mirai smiled and nodded "It's very cunique,"

"Its very what?" Subaru asked

"Cunique!"

"That's not a real word," then Subaru remembered: tartwinkle.

"Lux! "

"Luxray is right," Mirai said with a smile "You can make up words for anything because it's fun!"

"You can understand him?!" Subaru gasped

"Oh, no, no, I can't do that," Mirai chuckled and shook her head "No, but, usually, Luxray agrees with what I say so he must be agreeing now, right Luxray?"

"Ray! "

Subaru smiled "You know, Yume is sort of like that. She 'guesses' what pokemon are saying, but i swear she speaks their langue,"

"Fun! Hey, what do you think she and Greninja are doing right now?" Mirai wondered

"Hmm ..." Subaru thought about it "I think they might be-"

"Training!" Yume cried as she stood in the middle of the school's battle field "Yeah, this sounds like something Subaru would do. Are you cool, Greninja?"
