"Was that insensitive?" Yume asked

"No, it's fine," Alice shook her head, swiping some of the dough

"Hey!" Yume laughed

Alice smiled cheekily as she licked her finger clean.

"Hey guys," said Asahi's voice as he walked into the kitchen

"Asahi!" Yume gasped "Sorry, I keep forgetting Mizuki let you stay here,"

"It's fine. What cha' got there?"

"Chocolate chip cookie dough," Alice answered "We're making a cheer-up batch of cookies,"

"Sweet! Oh - whoops - uh, pun not intended," Asahi smiled "Mind if I have some?"

"No, not at all!" Yume said before Asahi took some cookie dough out of the bowl with his finger "Hey! That's not what I meant!"

Asahi grinned "Sure it is!"

After giving the finger-wag to Asahi and Alice, the five of them began placing balls of cookie dough onto cookie sheets and stuck them into the oven and watched them bake.

"What's going on in here?" Karen asked, still in her pajamas

"Gardevoir? "

"And what smells so good?" Mirai added

"Lux! "

"We're baking cheer-up cookies," said Asahi

"Yum!" Mirai exclaimed "We could certainly use the cheering up,"

"For sure," said Karen

Beep! Beep! Beep!

"Oh! you're just in time!" said Yume. Yume quickly took out the cookies, slid them onto platters, then took the first bite out of the first cookie. "YUM!" she cried, all her worries melting like the chocolate.

"Hey, what's going on here?" Raichi asked as he, Ivysaur, Kanata, Heliolisk, Sena, and Leavanny came over "Ooh! Cookies!" Raichi took two and ate them at the same time.

"Hey! No fair!" said Sena

"Leavanny! "

"What is this? A spontaneous party?" Raichi asked with his mouth full "Why weren't we invited?"

"It wouldn't be spontaneous if we sent out invitations," said Kanata

"Heliolisk "

"You guys are welcome to join," said Mirai "These are cheer-up-cookies, I think we can use all the cookies we can get,"

"Thanks," said Sena as he took a cookie "Hey, Yume, Asahi, how are you two feeling? You did take it the worst,"

"I ..." Asahi started but couldn't finish

"I don't know how to feel about it," said Yume "I mean he was my best friend - I mean - is my best friend ... I don't even know how he feels,"

"Yes, let's think about that why don't we?" Kanata said abruptly "What. About. Him?"
