Missy got the bleeding to stop, and when I looked at my finger,it was all bit up and wounded. But he only bit down once... Missy showed me her hand as we walked away from the medicine cabinet. Her index finer was scared and deformed.

"That's how he meets people, Aubrey," she explained walking me down the hall.

"If that's how meets people, he cannot possibly go to school, they won't tolerate it. Josh could get into serious trouble biting everyone," I told her.

"That's the thing, though. He only bites people who will mean something to him,or will do him good in the future. Even though he has the tenancy to be quiet and up in space, he's a very intelligent boy. Sometimes we can get him to do the trash, and he keeps up in class. He just doesn't speak. He does once in a while. Most of the time it's through the mind-"

"Through the mind?" I asked, getting a bit shaky when I noticed we were headed for that eerie room once again.

"He tasted your blood, yes? He creates a bond through that blood. He discovers your scent so when you're around he is familiar with you. Through that blood he sends you words. From his mind to yours, you just have to listen,"Missy said, nudging me into the room with Josh.

She left me alone.

I was really scared but I had faith in this. He didn't seem like a cold blooded killer,so I guess that's a plus.

I knelt down beside him and pressed my good hand to his cheek.

He broke from his space and looked at me.

Words formed in my head but they were hard to hear, so I pressed both my hands on either side of his face.

You don't need to do that,a voice said.

Pure and crystal clear sound in my ears,it was amazing.

You only need to press your hand to my face when you can't hear me anymore. Sometimes the connection has to be renewed,he responded.

"Oh," I said aloud, removing my hands from his face I put them at my sides, useless for now.

Sorry about your bite,by the way. Josh said.

It's fine. Where the devil did you learn to bite like that? Couldn't there be a simpler method, like a needle prick? I asked him through my mind.

No,doing that there's more blood,it's also my signature marks. Josh said, his eyes filling with laughter.

I removed my band-aid and showed him my finger.

His lips turned down a bit,but he hastily inched my hand towards his mouth.

Don't worry,he said, and don't look if you don't want.

He dragged his tongue across the skin, which was kinda strange and sickening altogether.

Here,Josh released my hand.

I look at the skin and it was healing right before my eyes.

The skin pulled together and the dried blood faded.

Wow, I stared at him with wonder and surprise about to tell him something back, before Missy walked in and told us it was lunch time.
