Anna tossed and turned, finally kicking off the blankets and giving up on sleep. She got out of bed and walked to the kitchen to make a cup of tea.
"Couldn't sleep?"
She shook her head at Liam's question, "I think it's got something to do with the moon."
"Speaking of, you might not want to mention that for a while. We have a guest in the house right now. Theodore's girlfriend."
"Oh yeah? Usually he tells you when she's going to be over and she's never stayed the night here. He's always made sure they were either at her place or that he took her home. Kind of sad really since I've never gotten to meet her."
"We could change that. He's asked if she could move in."
Anna blinked, "what? I mean not that I object, but why?"
"He didn't give specifics, just asked if it would be alright because apparently she's in some sort of danger or something possibly."
"Is he around or is he sleeping?"
"Sleeping."
"We can discuss it then and talk to him about it when he wakes up. Instinct says if she knows nothing about us to keep it that way. Though she obviously means something to him if he's asking this because her life could be in danger," Anna turned her cup over in her hands, thinking.
"Why don't we do a trial run of sorts?" Liam offered.
"Explain."
"A trial run. She stays a few nights, we set up surveillance at her place so we can keep an eye out depending on what type of danger and we see how she reacts to our type of movies and what she thinks about us as people. It avoids straight telling truth and it's loose enough that she might only end up thinking we're obsessed with that type of material."
"You're a genius. You know that, right?"
She grinned at him as he spoke, "I think you've said something like that before."
"So we'll see what he thinks about that and we'll go through a test run," Anna said, putting her cup down after turning it over in her hands again.
