Ms. Day, your one fifteen is here Allie said to me. Thank you, Allie, can you please set them up in the conference room with snacks and drinks as well as let them know that I will be in shortly I am running a few minutes behind on this call.

Will do ma'am Allie said to me. Hey, Al, yes, Ms. Day, please don't call me ma'am or Ms. Day, you and I are close friends, and we have known each other for some years besides you are a few months older anyway, so who's the ma'am now?

We both laughed before she closed my office door behind her. I walked into my bathroom to freshen up my face and body. Phone sex with Chris was excellent, but that's all it was with us.

Could I see myself with him or anyone for that matter no, not right now I had some things I needed to work through before I even considered another relationship. You see, Mark and I were together from the time I had turned sixteen until a year ago.

Mark made me feel special the first few years we were together, and once he went to college, he started to distance himself from me, and the calls started slowing down, and my seeing him wasn't an option on the weekends anymore.

When the summertime would come around, he made lots of time for me. Once I went to college, we picked back up like we never left. We were always together. I heard the stories of the girls on the campus with him and whatnot I chose not to believe them at all.

My fault because one night, I went to see him at his dorm, and he had a girl over with him. I caught him red-handed once again I took him back. I was in love, what was I supposed to do he was my whole world my everything.

My relationship with Mark wasn't good at all, but when you are on the inside of it, you never really see what the outsiders see. So I always made excuses for him every time something between us went wrong. I blamed myself because I was too young for him; Mark had more experience than me.

Last year things went sour between Mark and me. He made my whole world fall apart. All this time, we were living a lie; I had no clue at all.

There are things about our relationship that no one knows but my best friend, Allie. I only told certain people we went our separate ways due to the fact I wanted to move to New York to open up my business. Mark wanted to stay in New Jersey.

Damn, I had to stop thinking about Mark and focus on the right now. I had a client waiting for me in the conference room.

I walked out of my office and down to the conference room when I saw Allie making small talk to our potential client. His back was facing me so he couldn't see me. Whatever he was saying had Allie's full interest.

I walked into the room and cleared my throat to let them know I was there in the room. Allie stood up first and walked over to me to hand me the files she had in her hand.

Thank you, Allie I said as she was about to exit the room I asked her if she wouldn't mind bringing me a hot tea and two bottles of water just in case.

I walked over to the chair next to my client as he stood up. I told him I apologize I was running a little late from a previous client. He said he understood, and we shook hands. I am Denise Day, by the way. I am Jordan Knight, he said to me.

Nice to meet you, sir, I said. I noticed my palms started to sweat a little bit after we shook hands.

Damn, this man was fine like wine. He was about 5"11"  athletic built dark brown eyes and hair, with an accent I couldn't make out just yet. He was a beauty, and I was a nobody. Yes, I enjoyed looking, and thinking guys were attractive, but I was afraid to be around them by myself for personal reasons.
