"stay away from him, taehyung. it's not a request. you must. your mom won't like it."

it was what his father said before he departed again and he knew his father didn't mean his current mother. his father never referred his stepmother as a wife or a mother. he didn't know how she ended up as his stepmother but whatever his father meant, he knew it was serious but having no clue about that was irritating him. he really needed someone to explain all these things.

where's mom when you need her?

it had already been a month since his mother left and he knew something's happening but he couldn't contact her. his father  and his cousins seemed to know where she was yet, they wouldn't tell him.

"what's budging you?"

jimin voice brought him back to present. he seemed worried as his eyes scanned emotions playing on taehyung's face. taehyung just hummed in response and jimin sighed.

they quietly sat on a bench in school's gym. the place was silent since most of the students were in class at the time. taehyung needed some time alone to think and knowing history class wouldn't help him, he ditched the clads  and came to this place.

jimin, worried about his friend, searched for him and when he
found him, he too, decided to accompany taehyung who looked stressed, and thinking he might need someone, jimin sat with him.

then, sudden thought crossed taehyung's mind as he fully faced his friend. "jimin"

"yeah?"

"jungkook told me. he said he's a werewolf. and.. you, you're also one, aren't you?"

silence dominated the place as jimin sat in shock while the other waited for reply. "you're right." jimin started to talk, "me, jungkook, my dead mother, hoseok - we're all werewolves. and yoongi, my mate, is a vamp."

"what?" taehyung exclaimed in disbelief. he felt fooled, knowing all the people he'd been befriending were not even werewolves but also vampire?

can life be more complicated than this?

"what else?"

"our kinds stay in packs. and our pack is claimed to be one of the most powerful ones out there. our father is the pack alpha which means he's the leader of us. he's quite aggressive. his discipline on jungkook was very harsh. and jungkook, as you know, being a stubborn brat he is - they clashed occasionally. and this time, it's serious. and jungkook is not allowed to leave pack ground."

taehyung bit his inner cheek, his back resting on higher bench, now knowing the reason why jungkook had been missing classes. three days had passed since their date and jungkook just disappeared just like he did in last few weeks. and yes, he missed him. he admitted that he was becoming clingy day by day but he couldn't help it and wanted noting, but to stay close to jungkook.

"what did he do?" taehyung asked, wondering what made jungkook to get grounded.

"jungkook's not a typical werewolf. he's a trueblood which is truly rare. his wolf's also becoming restless as he's going to turn 18 soon and without his mate's help, it could get worse. he already killed hundreds of lives. and i can't imagine that 'worse', tae. father always ticking him off isn't a great help either."

"so how do we find that mate thing?" taehyung said dumbly and jimin gave him 'are you kidding me?' look.

"you see... the guy with weird ass hair color, the one jungkook's dating. you know him? wait-- oh! right! that whore's sitting next to me and he's named fucking kim taehyung. does that ring the bell?"
