chapter22: New kid

 

--1 week later--

-BEEP BEEP BEEP-

Urrgg. Stupid alarm clock. I reach my hand out to shut it off but I fail and fall off the bed. Ouch. I groan getting up and turning off my alarm. I rush into the bathroom, strip my clothes off and start washing my hair.

  When I get out I walk to my closet and pick out a black tank top with a cardigan, baggy sweats and my black and red Jordans. I put my long blonde hair in a high, neat pony tail and start my make up. I put on eye liner, mascara, foundation, and pink glossy lip gloss. I look at myself in my full body mirror. After 2 minutes of looking at myself I grab my bag and phone and head out. When I walk into the kitchen Blake and Kelly are eating breakfast. They both look at me and smile.

  "Have some breakfast." Kelly points to the cereal on the counter.   "Thank you, but no thank you." I kindly decline.

  "We are going to be late. Bye" Blake pulls me out of the kitchen and outside before I have the chance to say bye to kelly. Blake helps me on the motorcycle and I thank him right after.

  When we arrive at school, I see Molly and Ariana sitting on one of the benches outside shooting my glares. I ignore them and walk inside the building holding hands with Blake.

  "I have history first period, what about you?" He says as I put my things Into my locker and take out my math book.

  "Math." I shut my locker close.

   "oh, I forgot, its Monday we don't have any classes together today." He pouts.

  "We'll see each other in lunch." Suddenly the bell rings. We both groan and he kisses my lips with passion before going our separate ways. As I enter math I sit in the back and put my bag in the seat next to me so people could get the message and not sit there. When the teacher comes in, which is a sub, he takes attendance. As he is doing that the door flies open revealing a boy I've never seen before.

  "Aaaa, You must be Mr . Rivers. Principal said there was going to be a new student. Glad of you to join us. Lady's and gentlemen this is Jason Rivers.He is knew here please make him feel welcome. Rivers please take a seat anywhere." Jason looks around to find a seat and then he comes to me. I have my bag here for a reason.

JASON RIVERS POV (AKA, NEW KID)

I look around to find a seat but I dont find one, when my eyes land on a girl with her bag taking up an empty seat. I walk over to her and stand there waiting for her to move her bag but she doesn't so I just ask.

  "Umm, can you please move the bag?" She looks up so I can see her face more clearly and I freeze. She is the most beautiful person I have ever met. She smiles and moves her bag to the floor. I sit down next to her and decide to introduce myself.

  "Im Jason Rivers." I take my hand out so she can shake it.

  "Riley Summers." She shakes my hand. She better be single. If she isn't, her boyfriend is in for some competition.

 

"Why won't you sit with me during lunch. I can introduce you to my friend Olivia." she says as the bell rings singling that class is over.

  "Sure. Why not." I say smiling.

  "Great. See you then." She says and walks away.

--AT LUNCH--

RILEY'S POV

  "Hey, how was your day." Blake asks as I make my way to my usual table.

  "Good. I met this new kid, Jason, I invited him to sit with us. She pretty cool." I tell Blake.

"Rivers?" he asks.

  "Yeah. You know him?"

"No. Well I had him in P.E."

"oh. So where is Olivia?" I ask picking at my chicken salad.

"Getting lunch. Nerver mind, right there." he points in back of me.

  "Hey." Olivia says sitting down across from Blake and I. I give her a small smile and look to my right where I see someone standing.

  "Oh. hey, thought you wouldn't come." I greet Jason.

  "Of course I would come." he sits down to my right where.

  "Guys this is Jason Rivers. He is in my math class. He's also new here." I introduce him to Blake and Olivia.

  "Hi." Jason shyly says to them.

  "Hi!" Olivia says too excitedly. "Sorry I get excited meeting new people." Jason chuckles.

  "Im Blake, her boyfriend." Blake points out. Jason looks at him and then smiles sweetly before excusing himself to the bathroom.

  "I don't like him." Blake shoots daggers at Jason's back as he walks away.

"You don't even know him, so stop judging him so quickly." I snap and he glares at me. "Glaring at me won't stop you from me being his friend cause I know that's what you want." I get up as i hear the bell singling that school is over and so does Olivia.

  "Are you ok?" She says as I walk out of school and to my car.

  "Never better." We get into my car and I drive to the cafe around the corner.
