Chapter27: Connecticut

   BLAKE'S POV

         "Why do we have to go?" I ask Kelly for the fifth time since she told me that we were going to Connecticut. I don't get why I have to go, why can't she go alone. Me going there would mean leaving Riley for 2 whole damn days.

   "I already told you, Blake, Sophia came here to invite us to go there so we could see what it's like."

       "Why would we want to see what its like?" And that's when it hit me. We are going to see what its like because we are moving.  "What?!? we just got here like a couple of weeks ago and now we're leaving?!?" I raise my voice.

     "We're not leaving for good just for 2 days. A lot of the family is there and they want to see us. So if when the 2 days are up and we like it there we stay... but only for 2 months. And if we want we stay for good."

         "And by we you mean you." I sit on the kitchen counter. She sighs and leaves the kitchen without saying a word.

   "When do we leave?!?" I yell loud enough so she can hear me.

         "Today at 8!" She tells me at the last minute. What kind of Aunt is she? I go over Riley's and explain to her that I am leaving and how Kelly left this for the last minute. When I tell her she has tears in her eyes and her eyes are widened.

   

   RILEY'S POV

       Blake is leaving. Sure it's only for 2 days, but if they like it there, they stay . For good. Blake keeps telling me that it'll be ok and he'll make sure they don't like it there and that they will come back in 2 days. When he left I made my way into the bathroom to shower. I've been waiting for Friday to come and it's finally here. When I get out, I walk to my closet and pick out a neon yellow crop top, white skinnys, and my black Toms. I do my makeup and decide to leave my hair down. I decided on skipping breakfast and just go to school. When I arrived I saw Jason at his locker and Olivia nowhere to be seen. I grab my math textbook and head to class. As I am walking there I feel someone's hands go to my eyes.

   "Hello, there, Princess." Jason.

       "Hey, Jay. " I take his hands off my eyes.

    "So I was wondering if you wanted to go to this carnival after school? It is suppose to be really cool, so what do think?" Now I see why Blake doesn't like him. He's desperate.

     "Sorry, but no.I have plans.  But thanks for the invite." I dismiss him and walk to class before I am late.

  When I arrive home Tyler is nowhere to be seen. Now that I think of it I haven't seen Olivia or him since this morning when I woke up. My thoughts are interrupted by the obnoxious door bell. When I open the door there is an officer standing there. What happened this time?

     "Are you miss Riley Summers?"

          "Y-yes." I shutter. "Is everything okay?"

     "I am here to inform you that, Nick Sanchez has been released from jail. You just need to sign this paper saying that Nick is not under any circumstances aloud to come within 20 feet from you." He hands me a paper and a pen for me to sign. When he leaves I start thinking. Why would they let him out?He wasn't supposed to be out this early. What if he comes back? What if he tries to hurt me or Blake or even Olivia? What if.....

    "I think Riley is upstairs. But we have to be quite." I hear Tyler's voice from the living room. When I come back out into the living room, Olivia and Tyler are full on making out. Gross. Seeing your brother and your best friend having a make out session isn't pretty. I rather eat a rat. I grab my phone and play 'We are the Champions' loud enough to scare them. Once I played it they jumped. Like literally jumped.

   "What the hell, Riley!" Tyler yells. I fall to the floor laughing my ass off and clapping like a retard.   

     "That wasn't funny." Olivia says.

          "Your right, it wasn't, it was hilarious." I say once I finish laughing. "And next time, don't do it on my couch." They both glared at me and I just gave them my best smile. We were watching the breakfast club when the door bell rang.

   "Hey, come in." I step aside to let Blake in.

        "Actually, I came to say bye. I am leaving in 5 minutes so, yeah."

  "Oh." Was all I said. He pulled me into an embrace before kissing my forehead. We hear a honk singling that it's time for him to go.

      "I have to go." I pull away first and look at him for a brief moment.

"I love you." he reminds me.

"I love you." He kisses my forehead once more before pulling away and heading towards the car where Kelly is waiting.

  "See you in 2 days. Or more." I say to myself.
