-"Dylan? Dylan! Wake up!" Please make it a dream.
I refused to open my eyes, I just stayed limp there...anywhere I was, because I don't remember that our living room had grass instead of floor.
I let my hand play with the grass, but then, I started to sober from my state.
I rolled to my side and opened my eyes to be greeted by the sight of the bridge.
-"GOD!" I said in surprise and stood up.
-"DYLAN!" Steve said by my side as he grabbed my arm to prevent me from going face-first and kiss the ground.
He adjusted me and stood in front of me.
-"Are you okay?" He asked in concerne.
-"What are we doing here?" I asked in surprise.
-"You ran all the way here, I followed you, and thanks God I did, because you collapsed and I think that you reopened your stitches" he finished with a wince looking towards my injury.
I looked down and almost fainted, there were blood on my shirt, but then, I looked up again at the bridge, something was so familiar about this side of the bridge, but I can't put my hand on it.
-"Let's go back, I called Eva, she should be here any moment" Steve said and helped me to the road.
And Eva came not a moment after, and for the first time since I know her, I saw a look of fear in her eyes.
She exited the car and started walking to us, her eyes were wide and full of fear and something else, and I understood that it was anger because just as she stopped in front of me, I received a slap, but I didn't have time to protest, because the next thing I know, I was engulfed in a hug, encircled by her thin arms, and in that moment, I felt how really fragile Eva is, all her strength in the past and strong features and badmouthing, all seemed to melt down like an ice wall meeting the warmth.
-"Thanks God! you are okay" she whispered and suddenly fell lump in my arms.
-"Whoa!" Steve said as he grabbed her and helped us to the car.
I was in the backseat with Eva in my arms fast asleep, and Steve was driving the car, casting me glances from time to time.
-"I've never Seen Eva that worried since we were in kindergarten" he said suddenly.
-"What?"
-"It's the first time Eva showed worry and fear of loosing someone, she used to show anger and disinterest, even when her mother left when we were about eight years old, she kept calm, when her father went to work across the sea when we were twelve, she stayed calm or swears, when I broke up with Sam, she beat the hell out of me, and then, here you are and look at her, she even let you choose whatever you want to hear on the radio, and she never do that" he finished with a smile.
-"Are you serious?" I whispered in disbelief.
I looked down at a sleeping Eva, then looked out the window at the passing trees as we headed home.
-"I have to take her home, see you tomorrow?" He said with a smile.
-"Sure" I said.
