Guilt, regret, and tears.

That's what my mother was showing right now.

-"I am so sorry Dylan, I didn't mean to hide it from you all this time" she said and I stayed calm.

-"Tell me what happened, and I promise I will be understanding" I said and watched her trying to calm down.

-"About fifteen years ago, I found you, you were about three years old, and you couldn't talk or remember anything, I was pregnant with Isaac, and was about nineteen years old, so, I don't know, you seemed so fragile and cute, so I took you, and found out you were injured, I took care of you and waited for someone, anyone to claim loosing a kid, but after a month, Isaac was born, and no one searched for you, so I decided to rise you with Isaac, and got so attached to you that I feared sending you school so someone would recognize you, and also, you weren't registered, so I decided to homeschool you" she finished with tears.

-"You found me?" I asked in disbelief.

-"Yeah, I got into a fight with my husband at the time, and it was a huge fight, he told me that he wasn't ready to be a father yet, and that marrying me was a mistake, so, I remembered all the sacrifices that I did for him, I even dropped high school for him and got a job that I ended by loosing because of my pregnancy, so, I decided to end it all" she finished in shame.

-"End it all, you mean...?" I asked in utter surprise.

-"Yeah, I went to the bridge to end it all, but then, I found you, and you seemed like an angel coming to change my life, and yes, my life changed, because the day after, my husband returned home and begged forgiveness, and told me he got a better job, and that we were going to have a better life, and when I told him about you, it seemed like a miracle happened, because he gave you a name and took you under our wing, and treated you as his kid" she said with a teary smile.

I played with my fingers in my lap, and couldn't believe what I was hearing.

Cedric died a year after Zac was born, and his kids doesn't remember him well except Isaac, and just three years ago, mother started dating my stepfather, and they got married and got the twins.

And she started changing, in a way to resemble my stepdad, and after all this time, I discover that I lived with people that aren't even blood related to me, and I sacrificed for people that I didn't have to.

I started laughing calmly, then, it because hysterical.

I'm the bridge boy, I am only bounded to the bridge, that's why my legs carry me always there.

-"Dylan?" Mother asked fearfully.

-"Well, I can't ignore the fact that you took care of me and gave me a home, a name, but, I'm still suffering from the late events" I said as my injury throbbed again.

-"Dylan I-"

-"Sorry, Ineed to think, I need to clear my mind" I said as I went outside.

I found myself walking to the bridge, but I stopped.

I returned to the car, and decided to go bring Eva, so I honked two times and watched her come out quickly with a bouquet of beautiful flowers and roses, she ran to the backseats and flopped down.

I started the car and went our way, but once we exited the town, I parked.

Eva exited the car to come take her place again, but once she reached the door, I opened it and stood in front of her, and don't know why, I hugged her.

I buried my face by her neck, engulfing her form, her fragile thin body melting into mine, and her warm hands, one smoothing my back while the other caressing the back of my head and bringing me more closely.

After a few moments, I muttered an apology and took a few steps away.

-"Sorry Eva, it's just that I'm not feeling well, everything is a mess, I...I...I don't know what to do" I said as I hid my face by my hands.

I suddenly felt a hand by my shoulder, opened my eyes to be greeted by a flower, a beautiful white rose, I lifted my eyes to find Eva smiling warmly at me.

-"Here, enjoy its company before it dies" she said and pushed me to the passenger seat and closed the door for me.

She got into the driver seat and started the car, and I closed my eyes lost in the beautiful smell of the rose.

Suddenly, Eva's phone started ringing.

-"Put it on speakers please" she requested politely

I did so and heard Vivian on the other side.

-"Eva! Is Dylan with you?" Vivian asked.

-"Yes, we are coming back" Eva said.

-"You won't believe what I found out! I was working on an article about the bad blood between the two cities, and found out that my great great great I don't know exactly great grandfather built the town where my father lives, and the great great I don't know how much of great grandpa of your town built this one, and they built the bridge as a kind of bound and friendship between the two cities, and after generations, came a fight between the two descendents, and the bridge was damaged, and the hate was the only thing they got, each side loathed the other, the Adamus and the Stevensons families became enemies, but, after generations, the last direct descendant of the Adamus family decided to build the bridge, with the help of someone from the Stevenson family, but suddenly, the last direct descent of the Adamus family disappeared, and so did the last descendant of the Stevenson family, and no one dared to go to the bridge again since it was forbidden" Vivian finished saying.

-"So what?" I asked.

-"Dylan, my father is the last descendant of the Stevenson family" Vivian said.

-"And?" I asked again.

-"I invited him over to talk" she said.

-"YOU WHAT?" I said in anger.

-"What is it Dylan? What's wrong?" She asked in surprise.

Eva gave me a look and answered in my place.

-"Nothing Vivian, we are coming back in a few" Eva said and hang up.

-"Dylan"

-"No! I can't do it" I said.

-"For your family" Eva said.

-"I don't have one" I answered.

-"What?" She said and stepped on the brakes suddenly I almost hit my head on the dashboard if it wasn't for the seatbelt, and luckily the road were empty.

-"I am not a member of the family, that's why I wasn't registered, I was found by the bridge when I was a kid, I am no one, I am just a bridge boy Eva" I said coldly and watched her eyes widened in surprise.
