*author' note ok so for this imagine you have to pretend that it's before Storyline was released so you've never heard Still Fallin' ok now you can continue :p*
You were driving through some random countryside with Hunter while listening to the radio and just enjoying Hunter's company. Yes, country superstar Hunter Hayes, who was also your boyfriend. You'd been dating for three months and you still couldn't believe it. You heard Play It Again by Luke Bryan on the radio and started to sing along and you heard Hunter laugh a little. "What?" You asked. "It's just I think of you when I hear this song, actually I think of us..." he said. You smiled a little but you didn't wanna hear that. You hate when people say that, cause it's like basing your relationship off of some song some person in a stuffy building probably wrote. But you tried just moving on, you knew he was just trying to be adorable and nice and an amazing boyfriend.
Later on you stopped in a field for lunch, a picnic you guys had packed. You were pretty quiet through lunch and he knew something was up. "Hey what's wrong sweetheart, you are never this quiet," he said concerned. You just shook your head as to say it was nothing but he wasn't letting you drop it and kept asking you until you agreed to tell him. "It was just when you said you thought of us when you heard Play It Again I hate when people say that stuff, it's like basing your relationship off of a song ," was all you could say without feeling like you made him sad. "Oh I'm so sorry sweetheart I didn't know you felt that way. I won't say that anymore. Promise." You smiled gratefully. "I just don't think we need 'a song' I think our memories are enough. I think 'our song' was when I had a bad day and you bought me two dozen roses, the fights with slamming screen doors but how we always make up, sneaking out late, the way you laugh, the first date when I was praying you'd kiss me and you were too scared..." At this point you were laughing at the memories.
After a while Hunter said "well this isn't the best time to tell you but I hope you don't get mad I wrote a song about us." He said. "Really. No that doesn't bug me! Just us basing our relationship on other people's songs bugs me. CAN I HEAR IT?" You practically begged him. He nodded yes and pulled out his guitar from the trunk of his car. He started to play and sing "you would think for all the days I'd known you that I would have you memorized by now..." he sang and continued until he ended with "still fallin.... Did you like it?" You basically tackled him in a hug and kiss and said "I LOVED IT!"
That night before you drifted off into a sleep thinking "song or no song" I don't care. He's mine and I'm his and that's all that really matters right now.
