You've been receiving flowers a lot recently. And you're clueless onto whom it's from.

The first bouquet was in your mailbox, you finding handfuls of scattered petals shoved inside of it. It appeared that whoever left you these seemed to do it in quite a hurry, they were also a little moist, due to it raining earlier that day.

Well great, your mail is wet and your mailbox is covered in rose petals. You were a little agitated about cleaning up, but you were rather flattered by the gesture nonetheless.

Bouquet number two was found at work.

You worked in a humble little bakery in the middle of Toad Town. Everyone knew you as the kind server who did all they can to make others happy, you were glad to hold this title, but as much as you adored the little Toads greeting you everyday, work could get rather tiring.

Picking up discarded plates, cupcake wrappers and some generous tips, you kept your hands busy at cleaning the bakery before you took your leave. You were oblivious to the sight at first, but you absentmindedly walked passed the colorful bunch flowers left on the table closest to the door.

It wasn't until you heard a startlingly loud bang at the door for you to take a look at the entrance- where you saw no one- and at the bouquet that sat at the table.

Holding a hand to your pounding heart, you cautiously picked up the lonely bunch of flowers- petunias this time- and examined them.

Not the best approach, but still a nice gesture.

You found the third one on your doorstep.

A quick shopping run had to be made, you were running on a box of cereal and very little milk at the moment so you supposed getting out and buying food seemed necessary.

Making your way back home, you held the bags in your hands as you carelessly scrolled through your phone, it made the trip a lot quicker as you had the feeling that you got home faster than you left.

Once again, you didn't even realize the flowers were there until you opened the door and tripped over them, scattering your bags all over the floor.

"What the?" You muttered, rubbing the back of your head as you turned to look at the bouquet of lilies sitting on your welcome mat.

This was starting to get annoying.

Work was particularly hard that day, it being unusually busy for one fact, you also had to cover for your lazy co-workers who didn't even bother to show up to work. You were tired, and all you wanted to do was go home, eat food, and relax.

Walking towards your house, you stopped dead in your tracks as you saw a purple clad figure at your door. You were concerned at first since your neighborhood was never prone to burglaries....maybe the person was there for something else?

The figure proved you right as they looked around cautiously as if they were looking for someone, and placed a neatly bowed bouquet of lilac's to your front door.

Quickly leaving , the stranger took a beeline down the sidewalk and sprinted away- unfortunately right into your direction.

He couldn't help but crash into you, making you drop the majority of your items from the impact. As you quickly tired to gather up your things, the person that bumped into you couldn't help but freeze once he caught your eye.

You sat there confused, seeing Waluigi, a well known anti-hero of the Mushroom Kingdom and sworn enemy to the Mario brothers, sit there dumbfounded as he grew more nervous in your presence.

"Hi." You said quietly, apparently timid over his sudden appearance.

You were answered with a cloud of dust.

For the next week, you didn't receive any flowers. You felt a bit bad for driving the man away like that, you couldn't deny that you liked the gifts he gave you, (even though how tedious it seemed).

You hoped you could see the purple villain again. Even though the two of you reuniting might brush off as a bit awkward, you still wished for some closure at the least.

Arriving home from another day of work, you were surprised to see a note taped onto your door. Peeling it off and unfolding it, you read it's contents.

That wasn't me. You did not catch me leaving you flowers last week. That was DEFINITELY not me. And also I'm definitely not the one responsible for the other flowers you received. Nope. Totally not me.

You felt yourself snort, and giggle underneath your breath.

What a loser.
