"Tch.." The ticked off Nimbi couldn't help but mutter underneath her breath as she found herself in front of a park full of exited Toads. All of them squealing and shouting about the princess and their plans for the star festival. What a welcome huh, she deserved a better greeting than the one she received, well...it's not like she got one anyway...  

She huffed as stomped away to the bridge that crossed the small river that ran through the town. Why'd she bother even coming to this place, it's clear that no one was exited to see her, and it's not like they even noticed her either?

She grumbles as she loses herself in though, looking over into the flowing river, making herself progressively more angry.

"Luvbi?"

The Nimbi couldn't help but turn her neck quickly to the source of the familiar voice calling her name. And she was a overjoyed to see you, wearing a little outfit adorned with shooting stars. Although she would consider the clothing childish on any other person, you seemed to wear it quite well.

"Ah, my dearest ___! How art thou?!" She asked as she made her way toward you, her ruffled yellow dress bopping along with her.

"Oh gosh, I didn't expect to see you! I'm doing fine thank you!" You smiled, a warmness washing over you as you recalled your memories of your dear friend. "What brings you here Luv?"

She would scold anyone who would call her that, any poor fool won't even know what's coming towards them. But once again, you were quite the exception. "I thought I'd pay my dear old friend a hearty visit! But alas, it seems that I haven't received much rejoice in my arrival..." Her old timey words rolled off her tongue.

You felt a bit of guilt, "Ahh, sorry about that, I guess everyone's pretty exited about the star festival.." Rubbing the back of your neck, you tried to smile to get rid of the weary look you had. "I'll be happy to show you around!"

She looked rather confused, "Star...festival? May I ask what that is?" She asked, cocking her head that the side in confusion.

You were taken aback, suddenly remembering how rare the festival was. 'Huh...it's not like people get to see this all the time.' You thought to yourself.

"Well, I probably shouldn't explain it, when I can show you it!" You grabbed her by the hand, "C'mon, there's lots to see!"

You pulled her around the kingdom happily speaking about anything that crossed your path. She found your overwhelming excitement utterly adorable as you happily rambled off the different sights and pointed to anything pretty.

She couldn't help but be intrigued by the park with a large hill, ( a place that you called your favorite place as well) where many toads lied their blankets out to enjoy the shooting stars. Sweet Star Bits fell from the sky like popcorn, and people got comfortable as they laughed with their friends.

You asked her if she would like to watch the stars with you, and how could she not oblige? Finding a spacious spot, you let your back fall onto the soft grass. Luvbi politely lifted up her dress a bit and sat down, letting the ruffles fall as she sat with her arms crossed on her lap.

The realization never really dawned on you until this moment. Luvbi scooted a little bit closer to you as you snapped your eyes wide open as your face went to a bright shade of red.

You just took her on a date.

Well it's not like you were opposed to it of course, it's just, you hope it didn't become awkward at any point.You wouldn't hated to embarrass her or yourself during any of it.

Your thoughts ceased as Luvbi suddenly puts her hand on top of yours, you looked at her for a moment only to be met with a smile. Intertwining your hands with hers, you happily scooted closer next her, enjoying her company as the bright yellows and blues of the shooting stars fell.

Maybe you could make this work.
