~ "You came back!"
Luigi's pounding heart immediately softened when he heard the sound of your timid voice. He quickly turned to the source of the sound- above him- and saw you carefully floating down from your dark corner to where he was.
He stuck his hand out as you leveled near him and you pressed your pale cheek onto his hand, nuzzling into it. Your blush was apparent on your ghostly face and Luigi couldn't help but smile at the interaction.
"Of course ___. I promised after all." He smiled, closing his eye in content.
During his terrifying adventure to save his brother, Luigi met you- a quiet and timid Boo who was actually more scared of him than he was with you.
You begged him to not capture you, and your panicked cries actually made him feel really bad. He ensured that he wouldn't hurt you, and for the rest of the adventure you were attached to his hip.
He enjoyed your company a lot during the time you were together, he made days to come visit you, usually during the times he would visit E.Gadd. You weren't sure if he was being genuine at first, but every time he came back it shoot your doubts down.
And here you two were, he brought a basket full of sweets and his company, and that's more than anything you could ever ask for.
"Luigi..." you started.
He looked up, cocking his head to the side and letting out a short, "hm?"
"Why do you spend your time coming here? Aren't you one of the heroes of the Mushroom Kingdom? Wouldn't you rather get praise from your fans?"
The green plumber pursed his lips for a moment, not having the heart to tell you the mushroom folk would rather praise his brother than him.
"Well...you know I like spending time with you, you actually give me more of a reason to stop by if I'm being honest." He chuckles, twisting the wrapper of the cupcake in his hand.
"Well I guess what I'm trying to say is..."
"I like you!"
You gasped and hid your ghostly blush behind your little nubs, dropping your cupcake in embarrassment.
He flinched for a second, "Wait! Wait! That's not what I meant! You know..uh... wait __, I!
"It's okay..." You muttered, a smile stretching on your face, looking upwards to see a flustered Luigi, as red as a tomato.
He couldn't help but hide his face, his reaction pulling a giggle from your throat as you flew to him and nestled into his cheek.
