I walked down the hallway with my head down, my line of vision was directed towards my black vans clomping against the tile floor that spread across the school.
"where the fuck am i even going next" i heard a deep voice mumble from behind me.
it was a very deep voice, a very scruffy morning voice it sounded like.
i turned my head briefly and a boy with very odd looking hair was walking behind me, his feet scruffing along the floor as he tried to stuff his schedule back into his backpack, other things falling out in the process.
i decided not to be a grinch so i spoke
"hey uh, do you need some help there?" i asked
he looked up and i noticed his blue eyes that looked me up and down. he nodded his head very lightly and i smiled, bending down to help him grab his pencils and notebooks.
after everything was safely in his bag, i heard "uh, do you think you could help me find my class?"
i smiled gently as i gave him a motion to follow me
i stuffed my hands in my pockets and said "are you new here?"
he nodded lightly "yeah, im a senior"
i paused
"you're a dumbass then oh my god" i pointed up towards the ceiling "the senior floor is upstairs, this is the junior floor."
he pulled his schedule out of his back pocket and unfolded it quickly, and i saw him scan his eyes across the top of the paper.
"Shit, im sorry" he said, "do you think you could uh,"
" yeah, lets go" i said with a smile
as we walked up the second flight of stairs he procedded to say, "so whats your name kiddo"
I laughed "Niah, you?"
"well niah, just call me luke"
