Chapter 16

"Hey kiddo! Name's Marley. I'm the best friend. Abby right?"

"Yeah. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too sweetheart." Marley went in for a hug and squeezed tight. She stepped back and studied Abigail. "Though it might be you."

She turned to Astreal. "That barrier isn't doing much to hide her aura. I could feel it from the end of the block. I can get Evelyn to come over and do something about it if you want?"

"What? I literally just got it strengthened. Yeah, if she wouldn't mind then that would be great. Oh, and thanks for coming over."

"No problemo!" Marley stepped towards Astreal and wrapped her arms around his neck to hug him tight, kissing his cheek when she let go. "Now, the important thing! My boy is going on a date!"

"It's not a big thing."

"It so is. You haven't seen anyone since that girl back in '64. Shame that one had to be crazy. She was pretty."

"You like girls too?" Abigail raised an eyebrow and sat on one of the counter stools.

"Yeah."

"Greedy." She smirked.

"Whatever."

"So, Faci said he'd get here for about five. We have an hour to get you all jazzed up and ready for your big date."

"Not this again."
"Yes! These events are special!"

"You do this every time and it always ends up with me going in my own clothes anyway."

"That's because you're a sneaky bastard and get changed before you leave."

"Yup."

"It's going to be the same today, isn't it?"

"Yup."

She went over to the sofa and flopped down across the whole seat. "You're no fun."

"I know."

"Fine Sir. Boring. Abby! Please tell me that you are more fun and we're gonna have an amazing night."

"I hope so. What are we doing though?"

"I bought a few movies that we could watch. I'm not sure what you're into so I just grabbed a bunch of different genres from HMV. I haven't seen any of them so have no idea if they're any good. If not then we can figure something else out."

Astreal made his way to the fridge and fished out a punnet of lychees, shutting the door and moving to si on the sofa. Marley lifted her legs and rested them on Astreal's lap while reaching her hand out to him. He dropped one of the fruit into her hand and she began to pick off the shell.

"What do you think you and Faci are gonna do tonight?" She resisted the urge to wiggle her eyebrows and bit through the lychee stone instead.

"I'm not sure. He sad we could do anything that I wanted to do, but I'm not really bothered by what it is we actually do."

"Kinky."

"Oh my god."

"What?"

"Can we have an hour without you making jokes about me fucking someone?"

"Who says you'll be the one fucking?"

Abigail snorted and instantaneously covered the lower half of her face which was already becoming pink.

"What?"

"Sorry." She snorted again. "I just wasn't expecting you to be the top."

Marley burst out laughing and watched as Astreal's jaw dropped
