Chapter 4 - Knight in shining armor

Liam's Point of view

"I don't want to lose you Allie. I won't lose you." I whispered as she fell asleep on my shoulder.

What happened earlier freaked the hell out of me. I rushed my way towards her to save her from the car approaching her so fast that in one blink she might get hit and die.

I don't want that to happen.

I don't know what will happen if I lost her.

I shook my head trying to forget the almost accident earlier.

I let her sleep on my shoulder. When I know that she's deep in her sleep. I held her head put a pillow on my lap and let her sleep there until the door opened and saw her mom came in very tired and holding her suit case.

Her mom is a lawyer. She really is a busy woman.

She saw me and walked to the living room and saw Allie sleeping.

"What happened?" she asked quietly not to disturb Allie.

"She almost hit by a car when she crossed the street. The car was fast and I get there in time to push her away. She was scared as hell. She cried earlier and fell asleep after we ate." I explained and Mrs. Johnson glanced at the two boxes of pizza on top of the table and she looked at her daughter.

"I'm so thankful you saved her. I owe you my life for saving her and you know that she is the only family I have right now." I nodded.

Allie's dad died after his heart attack. Allie was young then. Allie at first was a hesitant to tell me at first but then she eventually opened it up to me. She was the jolly one but deep she is fragile. You will not see it in her face because she always has the positive outlook in life.

"I know, Laura. You're welcome. You don't owe me anything though." I assured her. "I will leave because you're here already and I don't want to wake Allie on her sleep. I'll carry her to her room and I'll go."

"Okay. Be safe as you head home. Thank you again." she leaned and gave me a hug.

"You're welcome again Laura." I said as I carry Allie on my arms.

I gently lay her down on her bed and tucked her into her blanket and kissed her forehead and mumbled goodnight to her.

I made my way to the door until I heard her say, "Don't leave me."

I stopped dead on my tracks.

I don't know if it was for me or she was just having a dream.

Whether it's for me or not, it made my heart beats for her not for me.

But then, I decided to head home and let myself be at least happy for the moment.

Allie's Point of view

A sound woke me up. I groaned.

I slowly opened my eyes and noticed my phone on my desk ringing. I got up and took my phone and saw Faye's name. Oh, missed calls and 5 messages from her. So I texted her saying I'm fine and alright. Liam told her probably what happened earlier.

The almost accident.

Liam saved me.

I fell asleep on his shoulder.

Did mom already know?

He carried me to my room.

I shook my head and just went straight to the bathroom. I wore a loose shirt and some shorts to make it look comfy and yes it is comfy alright.
