Chapter 3 - I almost forgot
It is a usual day in a usual month of a usual year. But an unusual event occurred earlier.
What happened earlier is really unexpected. I was still caught up in the moment especially now that Liam’s hand is currently brushing my hair and it felt so nice, so relaxing.
I hope he’ll not stop.
What?! Why am I saying this?!
Did it occur to me that Liam will kiss me earlier? The closeness of his face to mine and look on his eyes, oh no, don’t start with the eyes. I was drawn to it. I was lost and mesmerized at the same time.
I know he is actually a good looking person, hell, he looks like a model, and most girls go gaga for him but not me. Not me. Not then and not now. But when I saw the way his eyes bore into mine. It’s like I was the only person he cared for me. Well, he always cared for me but something tells me that it’s different from now.
I don’t want to assume or over think things through.
There’s something that this is not going to be the last time I’ll encounter such situation with Liam.
I didn’t notice that the school bell rang and it’s the end of the class. Luckily, my last period is a free period because it’s Trig, since Mr. Lopez leave for a seminar he needs to attend to.
“You’re so captivated with my god-given face earlier huh?” I heard Liam said at my back and I could sense the amused tone on his voice.
“The god-given face huh?” I repeated and nodded I turned to him, “With an enormous head that any time could get bigger and blow up?”
“Whatever you say pumpkin” he laughed. I was about to say something when a teacher, substitute teacher, I should say came in.
“Since Mr. Lopez is not here, I’m Mr. Tan, I’ll be the substitute for today.”
I thought I have a free period but I was wrong.
I really hate Mr. Tan. I like Mr. Lopez better. Dammit! He only talks to the board while discussing. He doesn’t look at us, his students. What’s wrong with him? We are his students not the board, if he is thinking straight.
I’m so glad he only taught us for thirty minutes and it was like thirty minutes of hell.
He left the room and the bell rang and school is over.
I headed to my locker faster than I thought. I saw already Faye waiting for me.
“Hey girl!” I greeted. “What’s with the grumpy face?”
“Greg.” She said blankly “We’ll be working in my house this weekend.”
“So?”
“I can’t stand him.” She said as if it was a fact.
“You know, you’re quite lucky to have him. He’s smart and not a bad ass. It’s actually good that he doesn’t really looked like a nerd when we were in middle school right?” I stated.
Greg was the ultimate nerd when we were in middle school. He is wearing those big glasses on his eyes and wore suspenders. But after the summer in our freshman year, he totally had a make-over. A big massive make-over I tell you. He wore contacts right now and he learned how to dress like a guy, with fitted jeans and a shirt. He also knows the word muscles now. He started working out.
