Don't touch me!

*Three weeks have passed since Sophia's kidnapping ...*

James had to go back to work and unfortunately could not stay with Jessica all the time. He was worried about her, Jessica did not feed and sometimes did not could sleep. The last weeks were just pain and suffering. James also missed his daughter, but he hid his feelings so he could take care of his wife. Jessica did not talk to James anymore, with each passing day they got more distant.

Only James could get her to get up and feed, but he was working, so Jessica spent the whole day in bed. James would only come home the next morning. Jessica could not sleep, so she lay on the bed holding Sophia's teddy bear. It was not long before tears started to roll by her face. Jessica's eyelids began to weigh and her eyes gradually closed. Suddenly she felt someone touching her hair.

"James? What are you doing here? I thought you would just come back tomorrow" she had a hoarse voice.

"I got out of work early to stay with you" he stroked her cheek.

"Baby, you must be tired" she said worriedly.

"I'm fine, baby. And you, did you eat anything?" he stared at her.

"Yes" she lied.

"Jessica?" he had a serious expression on his face.

"What?" she shrugged.

"I know you baby, please do not lie to me."

"I'm telling the truth. James, stop treating me like a child" she said irritably.

"I'm sorry, I did not mean to annoy you, I just care about you, because I love you" he cupped her face so she could look him in the eye.

"I know, I love you too" she kissed him quickly on the lips.

"I need to take a shower before bed" he got up and took off his shirt, heading toward the bathroom.

"Do not delay, I'm waiting for you."

James's cell vibrated with a new message notification, Jessica became curious and took her husband's cell phone.

"We can meet the day after tomorrow if you want" was the message.

"What?" she said irritably as she unlocked his cell phone and found out who had sent the message.

"I do not believe ..." she began to cry wildly.

* 5 minutes later ... *

James left the bathroom and saw that Jessica was crying. He quickly donned his clothes and approached her.

"Hey, it's okay, I'm here with you" James kissed the top of her head.

"Do not touch me!" she pushed him away.

"Baby, what happened?" he asked in surprise at her reaction.

"You disgust me, James!" she screamed through her tears.

"Jessica, baby, I do not understand, why are you doing this?" he asked with sadness in the voice.

"How could you do this to me James? I know that after Sophia was kidnapped I have not been a good wife, but nothing justifies a betrayal."

"Jessica, what are you talking about? I never betrayed you, I would never do anything that could hurt you ..." a few tears streamed down his face.

"Are you sure about that?" she screamed angrily.

"Of course Jessica. I love you, you know that" he said and tried to approach her.

"So how do you explain this?" she threw the phone at him.
