My Lips On You

I'm so sorry...

"Baby, I'm ready" Jessica said as she walked down the stairs.

"All right" James picked up his car keys and hurried off.

James opened the car door for Jessica and ran for the wheel.

"Looks like someone's in a hurry" she said.

"Jessica Parker?" called the doctor.

"Here we go" Jessica said nervously.

"Hey, I'm right here by your side" James grabbed Jessica's hand and they walked into the room together.

"Sit down, please" the doctor said.

They both sat in the chairs in front of the doctor's table. Jessica squeezed James's hand tightly and he looked at her with a comforting look.

"Mrs. Parker, I think it's nothing new what I'm going to tell you.It's not going to be an easy pregnancy. All the care a pregnant woman should have, you will have double. Food, rest, avoid making too much effort, avoid stress" said the doctor.

"I know that pregnancy at my age will not be easy" Jessica said with disappointment in her voice.

"Is it your first pregnancy?" asked the doctor.

"Yeah. Me and my ex-husband have tried for years but I've never been able to get pregnant" Jessica said.

"Did you seek medical help back then?"

"Yes. But I ended up finding out that something was wrong with me, so I could not get pregnant" she explained.

"Looks like they were wrong about that" the doctor joked, making Jessica smile.

"Well. I'm going to prescribe some vitamins to keep the baby healthy and also a medicine to help with sickness."

"Thank you" Jessica said.

"So, shall we see the baby?" the doctor asked excitedly.

"Of course, we were looking forward to it" James said suddenly.

"Now I understood why you were in such a hurry" Jessica looked at him and smiled at James' eagerness.

Jessica lay on the bed and lifted her blouse slightly exposing her small belly. James was standing beside Jessica holding her hand.

"Mr. and Mrs. Parker this is the baby" the doctor said pointing to a small dot on the monitor.

"I can not believe it" Jessica had tears in her eyes. She looked at James and saw him holding his tears.

"You're three weeks pregnant."

James looked at Jessica and she immediately understood what he was thinking. Three weeks ago they were in the cabin in Minnesota celebrating the second honeymoon. And now it was exactly three weeks since the kidnapping Sophia. Jessica caressed James' face and pulled him closer to her.

"I love you" she whispered and then kissed him softly on the lips.

"I love you too" he kissed her again.

On the way home James stopped at a pharmacy and bought all the vitamins and remedies Jessica will need. After arriving home James helped Jessica climbing the stairs as usual and preparing a relaxing bath for her.

"Thank you, baby" she said as she stepped into the tub.

"I'll make us lunch" he said before leaving and closing the door.
