Chapter 12: Seeing RED

**I'm gonna fast forward the story a few months to June. Emyriah, Trey and Chanel graduated.**

I woke up that morning and looked over at Malik. He came in late last night so I decided to go to Emyriah's house.

When I pulled up in my car, I saw Emyriah checking the mailbox in her pajamas. I pulled up on the curb and said, "Whaddup hoe!"

"Trick! What you doing here?"

"Just riding out."

It took a while for Emyriah to get over the death of Will. I introduced her to Darius at my graduation party and they have been together ever since. I didn't find it weird that Darius wanted me at one point. He moved on and was really heavy with my girl.

Emyriah hopped in the passenger side of the car. "Where you ridin?" she asked me.

"Waffle house." I said as we rode.

When we were eating our food I heard my phone chime and had a text from Trey.

Trey: Lemmee get some tonight. It's been a while.

I smirked. We never stopped messing around. We tried to just be friends with each other but the sex was just way too bomb.

Chanel: it's been 5 days?? really Trey? but I want it too. imma call yha.

"Malik making you smile like that?" Emyriah asked me.

I looked at her. Me and Emyriah never lied to each other. She didn't know about me and Trey because she never asked.

"Who is it?" she asked. I put my phone down and looked her in the eye not wanting to say anything.

"Trey."

She choked on her food. "What the fuck Chanel?" she said loud.

"We got together a couple months ago."

"Why you never said anything!?" she screamed.

"You never asked!" I told her.

"And what about Malik?" she asked me.

"He doesnt know. And dont bring up faithfulness cause I know he stepping out too."

"Damn Chanel. So yall like friends with benefits?"

"YASS BISH! The sex is the fuckin bomb."

"And you sure this gonna work out?"

"It has been for 4 months. What about you and Darius?"

"Me and my man just fine."

"Yall fucked yet?"

"That right there is none of ya business. But I will tell you that daddy lays pipe like a pro," we laughed. I'm happy Emyriah was back to her old self.

"I knew it," she said after a few minutes.

"Knew what?" I asked her.

"You and Trey would eventually get together. Damn the whole city fuckin knew."

"You know you foolish right?" I told her.

"Thats why you love me," she said.

After me and Emyriah ate and walked around the mall for a few hours, I went back to the apartment.

I sat down on the couch and Malik came out of the bedroom. "Hey bae," he said coming down to kiss me on the forehead.

"Hey. Where were you last night?" I asked him.

"Had some shit in Gaberson to take care of," he said. "Where you been this morning?"
