Chapter 1: Someone New

(In someone's dream)

Chaeyoung's POV

"Minari, come here and play with me... pretty please." I kept knocking on Mina's door.

Really... why is she ignoring me? Is she mad at me or something? I didn't even do anything to make her ignore me this much. I really wanted to play with her since it's already Christmas eve. My Mom told me to stay with Mina for awhile since both of our parents are going to hangout. I kept on knocking and knocking until finally she opened the door.

"Minari, what happ-" I couldn't finish my sentence since she collapsed while walking to her bed. I could see blood covered bed. "Eomma, help us please, Mina is here with me collapsed!" I yeld when I called Eomma through the phone, and all I heard was panting. "Eomma?"

"Sorry Chae... I-I'm busy right now" she then ended the phone call.

"Seriously?! What am I going to do?!" I spoke my mind. I check her body for bruises or wound because I saw blood. Of course anyone will think that it is the right thing to do. I saw that it came from her head. "Argh." I immediately carried Mina at my back and walked to the nearest hospital. 'She sure is heavy' I said to myself. I laid her to the bed and asked the doctor if she's going to be fine. "Yes she will, I hope. For now, why don't you tell her parents first?" said the doctor. I completely forgot about that. I texted her mom through her phone then after awhile someone ran through the emergeny door and immediately asked where Myoui Mina is. I then stood up and called her Mom because she asked loud enough for me to hear. When she saw me, she then slapped me hard and I don't know why.

"Uhm... what w-was that f-for?" I stuttered saying those words, well of course, because my cheeks are hurt so badly.

"Don't ever show up in front of me and my daughter!" She yelled at me.

"W-why are you angry all of a sudden?"

"Well your Mom is a complete bitch and she slept with my husband!" She replied. Wait... WHAT?!

"My Mom won't do that" Seriously, What the hell is going on with my life.

"You don't believe me? Then try asking your Mom" as soon as I heard that, I called my Eomma and suddenly she answered her phone.

"Ahh... slow down will you" I heard from the other line.

"I won't honey" Honey?? Who is she talking to?

"Oh shit, my phone! Who is this?! Chae-... I can explain okay" She screamed through the phone.

"Don't give me anymore explanations... You're not my Mom." I yelled and threw the phone at the wall. Suddenly tears came falling from my eyes, it was nonstop.

I ran and ran until finally stopped in front of Minari's house. 'I think I should clean up the blood at her bed' I thought.

"This sure is a lot of blood. I hope she'll be fine soon." I then brought new bedsheet and changed the one with blood and mopped the floor until I saw papers under the bed.

(Earlier that day)

Mina's POV

"Daebak, it's already snowing. I can't wait to see Chaeng and play with her outside" I spoke my mind out loud. I was cleaning my whole room so that Chaeng can sleepover tonight until I saw some kind of paper inside the top of my shelf. I read it and cried... 'What is that?! Is it for real?! It can't be! It's not right'

Dear Mina,

I wish you can have a nice life starting now. I recently broke up with your Mom since she found out that I was sleeping with Chaeyoung's Mom. I'm sorry princess, I hope you can forgive me and be our daughter with your friend's mom. Pack your things right now, I'll fetch you on Sunday evening. Also forget about your best friend because my future 'Wife' wanted to abandon her so badly. Let's live a happy life from now on. -Appa
