Case Files: #1 The Haunting in Fairchild Mansion

Chapter 8

*Cough*

"Where are we?" Diana asked, looking confused.

"I can tell that we are still inside the mansion. Except it's one of the older rooms." Cooper replied.

"How can a ghost carry the three of us in here?" Alvin was curious.

"That's because it isn't a real ghost," She reminds them."Great. The door is locked."

Their must be something around here that can help. Diana thought. "Aren't mansions suppose to have secret passage ways?"

"Yeah." Cooper interrupted. "If we're lucky enough, we can find something in here! Like a.. um.. switch or something."

"Be very careful guys," She reminded. "This can take hours of searchin-."

"Found it!" Alvin squeaked.

"Or not." She frowned.

One of the books in the shelf opened a small tunnel on the wall. They took a candlestick and bravely went through it before they run out of time. The tunnel lead to one of the guests' room.

"No ones staying in here." They look at the papers on the table. "The names of the buyers are listed in here."

"Look." He pointed. "The schedules are also in here and.. Aren't these stage lights?"

"Yes, Cooper. Hey, Diana. Those blue sparkling thingy is attached to it. He speculated.

"I wonder.." She turns on the switch of the lights.

"GHOST!!"

"Cut the drama, Alvin. It's just a projection." She said.

BEEP! BEEP!

"Oh no. Mr. Chu is coming here today. The ghost will surely make him the next victim."

"Then we need to act fast." She smirked. " The ghost may have outsmarted us last time but nope. Not this time."

"Cuz this time," Cooper grabs a rope and some tools. "It'll get its surprise of a lifetime."

"My aunt is not here so I'll be taking over, Mr. Chu." Bridgette welcomes him inside the house. "I prepared some snacks incase you get hungry."

~WOOSSSHHHH~

"What is going on here?!" He complained.

Leave! Leave and never come back!

Just as the ghost get towards him, voices attract its attention.

"Hey, ghosty! Over here!" Diana shouted.

"You thought you can keep us forever in that room huh!" Alvin added.

Aurghh!!!

Blue clouds starts to thicken and the ghost went closer to them. It traced their tracks into the basement. Eyes closed, and fingers crossed that they don't get caught.

Hahahaha

The ghost pulls the cover of the table revealing the kids for a few seconds and..... they, vanished!

Huh?

"Now!" Cooper pulls the string trapping the ghost inside a net. "Classic net trick but works everytime."

"Who's trapped now, ghost?" Alvin teased.

"What's the commotion kids?" Authorities gathered inside the room when they heard the loud crashes occuring.
