Today was the day, after Wally had left, Dick was alerted that in three days his lawyer would be going to court for him. Today Gordon would tell him whether Dick was guilty or not. Of course the young hero was innocent, but he couldn't just go, his innocence had to be proven.
Dick frowned as Jim entered the room with that look on his face, the look that said I bring bad news.
Dick gulped and looked up, "You were winning" he said.
Were winning. "But?"
"But a anonymous source handed in some information, they tried their best but you've been proven guilty" Jim said emotionlesely. Dicks eyes widened as realisation hit him like a huge powerful wave, crushing him under its grasp, drowning out every ounce of hope that he had before. "N-No" Dick whispered.
"I'm afraid so kid" Jim frowned. Then Wonder Woman ran in and asked Jim if she could talk to Dick alone, once he was gone she engulfed him into a hug, "Im so so sorry" she whispered, Dick nodded slightly hugging her back (his handcuffs had been removed) still in shock.
"W-Where are they going to take me?" Dick asked, though deep down he knew the answer, "I don't know Dick" Wonder Woman whispered, Dick nodded and they both pulled away "I'm g-going to Arkham, aren't I?" he muttered looking down at the table,
"I don't know Dick" she muttered. Dick nodded then she gave him a squeeze on the shoulder, "You'll be fine Dick, now I must go, I promise, I'll find Bruce and we'll get you out." She said, Dick nodded "I hope so" he muttered then slumped back in his chair as the princess exited the room, then policemen came in, they handcuffed Dick and dragged him outside and into the car where he would be taken to his destination. On his Way out he saw Barry Allen and Wally West in their civvies, they must have been hoping to see Dick. Well, they saw him. Just not how they wanted to.
The two speedsters faces filled with shock and fear as realisation of Dick being 'guilty' hit them. Wally looked at Barry sadly, Barry only returned the look, if Bruce wasn't found soon, Dick would be paying the price.
