Being stuck with an energetic, crime fighting, acrobatic bird was not the most fun thing ever in Riddlers opinion. Yet, there he was, fringers pressed to his temples, trying not to yell at the bird for continously leaping around the room and leaping across the wooden support beams above Riddlers head, causing him to feel the slightest tinge of discomfort.
"Hey, Edward...?" The raven headed boy asked, finally having stopped jumping around, he was now hanging upside down on a support beam.
"Yes?" The older man asked.
"What's up there?" Robin asked, curiosity laced in every word as he pointed to a hole in the ceiling easily accessible to the young acrobat.
"I'm not sure, just don't go up there"
"Oh come on! That's basically asking me to go up!" The boy exclaimed,
"No, I was clearly saying not to go up there, now get down from up there, Crow should be here soon." Edward sighed looking at the boy with an annoyed look.
"Eddddddd, I wanna see what's up there!"
"Get here!"
"No!" Robin huffed, then he stood and lept to another support beam then clambered through the hole. "ROBIN!" Riddler yelled.
The boy ignored him, instead foccusing on the room. He recognised this place... he went to open a wardrobe to see what eas inside it when a growl excaped from behind him.
"Why are you up here?!?" Robin jumped slightly, but immediately got into fighting stance. All he saw were shadows, only now he wasn't in them, somebody else was.
Robin turned around, waiting for the faintest sound, he heard breathing.
He quickly sman to the direction of the person breathing and lept. He immidiatly felt pain in his shoulder and let out a silent scream before pulling out a knife from his wounded shoulder and wincing. Blood began to pour down his arm as he swung at the person attacking him. He stepped back, the figure followed him, stepping into the light.
Scarecrow grinned at him and shoved him back, Robin now realised he was right by the hole, but it was too late. He fell slowly, his back hitting the support beam he previously climbed on, soon he felt his chest collide with the wodden ground. He let out a moan as he attempted to sit up but failed.
"Ow..."
"Richard!" Edward yelped out, worry tugging at him.
"That... h-hurt..." Robin muttered, soon Scarecrow came down the stairs.
"Oh no, what happened to our little birdy?"
"Y-you tr-ied...to k-kill me... b-bast-ard" Robin said through gritted teeth.
"Now, now, that's no way to treat adults now is it? What would good old Brucey say if he heard that?"
"... who c-cares? H-he's not he-ere now... is he?" Robin asked, Scarecrow glared at him.
"Not the answer I wanted-" Robin didn't hear anymore as hus eyes had rappidly been becoming heavier and now, they finially closed.
