The Only Reason (Ashton Irwin)

Prologue

Mariean walked through the beach and sat on the sand. She looked around to see if anyone's around, and saw that there was nobody. It was almost midnight, of course everybody's already sleeping.

She started to cry again.

She loves to cry, but she never cried in front of people.

She wants everyone to think of her that she's brave, but deep inside she's broken.

That her life is ruined.

That her heart is shatter into pieces.

She never let anyone to mend her broken heart.

She never let anyone to break her walls.

She never let them in.

Boys.

She think that they're just a jerks.

Bastard.

Dirtbag.

Arrogant.

Trouble makers.

Heartbreakers.

"Why are you crying?" she gasped when someone spoke.

It is the first time when someone saw her cried.

"Ashton? What are you doing here?" she wiped her eyes while asking him. She don't want him to know that she's weak, vulnerable, and broken.

"Why are you crying?" Ashton asked again, not answering her question.

"I'm not crying, something just got into my eye" she started to walk away when Ashton called her again.

He grabbed her arm and turned her around."Where are you going!?"

"Oh please just leave me alone!" Mariean tried to release his grip on her arm but she failed.

"Just please answer my question!" Ashton pleaded.

"I already said I'm not crying!" she denied.

"I clearly saw it with my two eyes that you're crying, stop lying to me!" Ashton angrily spoke.

"Just god dammit leave me alone!" she angrily shouted at him.

She don't want to deal with him.

"Why do you always shut me out!?"

"Why do you always push me away!?" Ashton angrily shouted at her.

She groaned and screamed too. "Isn't it clear that I don't like you!?"

"Why the hell do you hate me? I did nothing bad to you!" Mariean shook her head.

'Cause someone told me you're a heartbreaker, she thought.

"Just stay away from me!" she started to walk away again.

"I just want to know you!"

"Why the hell won't you give up!?" Mariean is so annoyed that he never stopped trying to talk to her.

"I-I like you!"

She stopped walking and froze. Her eyes watered.

She remember him again.

The guy she used to know.

The guy she used to love.

The guy who used to say that to her.

She sighed, "You can't like someone you don't know."

Then she ran away and left him alone there.
