Chapter 13

I giggled as I watched Ashton messed up his beat again for the third time. He turned his gaze at me then pouted and groaned, knowing what he needs to do. I twitched my lips into a smirk and looked at him arrogantly, he noticed it and frowned at me. I lifted my hand enough for him to see it and opened my palm, acting like I want him to give me my money right now. He glanced at my lifted hand, chuckled then shrugged his shoulders and he mouthed later at me. I chuckled, showing that I am happy that I won the bet.

After Ashton and I hugged each other tightly, I swear if I was in other people's point of view I will thought Ashton and I looked like a couple who hasn't seen each other for a long time, we talked for a few minutes, insulted and made fun of each other. I insulted him that he isn't a great drummer and he defended himself that he is one of the best drummers on earth and he would like me to see it and take back my words. That made us to make a bet, if he'll mess up the beat for three times then he would treat me. If he didn't, I will be the one who'll treat him. Look at me now, doing a dance victory because I don't need to take back my words and I won't treat Ashton.. I don't have a f*cking Australian money. I'm so f*cking stupid to come up with that bet especially I don't have an Australian money. I'm really lucky that I won the bet.

I became self-conscious when I felt someone's stare at me, I'm sure it wasn't Ashton's because I am staring at him at this moment. I gulped before slowly turning my head to see who is it, and my question was answered. I was greeted by Luke's puzzled face at me and Ashton. Luke furrowed his eyebrows at me when I stared back at him, looking like he was asking a question from me. I answered him by giving him an innocent smile then I turned back my gaze at Ashton. He was frowning at Calum's joke about his drumming skills. More likely an insult. Calum was also teasing Ashton about something while glancing at me, that made me bring my head down and let my hair cover my face.

As I interestingly watch the little ant walk in different directions and different motions, I observed them all buy using my hearing sense. Michael has been quiet for a long time and he hasn't been smiling since he knew that Bradley and his friends was here. But he really got furious when I said that Bradley and Alyssa talked. It was really odd.

Questions started to bug me. Why is Michael acting so weird when I mentioned Bradley's name? Why does he has the same reaction as Ashton's reaction? Does that means something? Did Michael reacted like that because he has feelings for Alyssa? Or he is just protective for her because he is her childhood best friend?

Now my mind goes to Calum, he's been acting weirdly. Yes he is still making some funny jokes and some horrible jokes and he still teases us but.. there's something different about him. I don't utterly know him yet but he's just not.. him.

A memory flashed back in my mind, Alyssa was annoyingly talking to Calum through the phone. I furrowed my eyebrows as I got curious, what was it all about? Why did Alyssa said she's not oblivious? Where and what thing she is not aware about? Is that the reason why Calum is acting differently?

I sighed. It's not my business to think and deal about those things. It's their life and it's their own privacy, I don't need to know it unless they will tell me know it. And plus, curiosity killed a cat.

Andrea's footsteps was soon heard by me and the aroma of the coffee was sniffed by me, I looked up at her and she was holding a brown mug of coffee. She brought it to her lips and blew on it before taking a sip.

"Where'd you found that baby?" asked Luke.

"I just asked a mug of coffee from the heaven and this fell" Andrea sarcastically spoke. Luke gave her a straight face and Andrea smiled sweetly, she offered her coffee to Luke, "Do you want some?"

Luke shook his head and smiled back sweetly at his girlfriend, "I'll just have some later."

"Me? Can I have some?" Michael butted in.
