This is so sad, that's all
-
All I really did was drink and sleep for the next 3 weeks. Maybe a few stale crackers, but I couldn't go to the grocery store like this. Looking like a torn up monster.
I've gotten so many calls and voicemails and texts. But I ignore them. I don't even know the date or what time it is.
You could say this is pathetic, but I only have one thing to do now.
"I don't think you should go to the bar, Annabeth." Phoebe's concerned voice comes over the phone and i growl
"Would you rather me shut myself in again?" I sigh and throw on some skinny jeans and a flannel shirt.
"I saw Ashton's car parked there when I drove home today." She says softly.
Why does it burn to hear his name? I'm over him, right? Wrong.
"Well he probably left." I chock out.
I put on minimal makeup- as if I cared and simply straightened my hair.
My car was at the shop getting fixed, and the bar was only 2 blocks away, so I walked.
When I got to the bar, I didn't even look for his car. I just needed a drink.
As I sat down, a bartender asked me what I wanted, I reply in a dull sullen tone (like always)
I look around the bar after I finish my drink and decide to walk around because I didn't want to go home now.
My eyes just carelessly scan the room, but the couch catches my eye.
I didn't want to look, but my stupid curiosity made me.
It was none other than Ashton Irwin making out with some girl. Who surprisingly wasn't Emily.
I look down.. I didn't want to risk anybody seeing me tear up.
I focus my eyes on my shoes until I finally think I can look up without bursting into tears.
A man- about 4 years older than me approaches where I'm seated and slams his hand on the table.
"Heyyy. Sweety" he slurs "Having a fun time?"
"Um I would like to be alone right now." I say firmly.
"You seem sadd. I can give ya company." He scoots closer.
I finally say louder "please leave me alone!"
Something tall and black walks up to the man "she said leave her alone."
I could recognize that voice anywhere. That's Luke Hemmings.
"Luke?" I ask shocked
He grabs my hand and brings me to the hallway, leading to the bathrooms.
"I heard about what happened with Ashton and I'm so sorry. He is too. He's been in the worst health ever since your breakup." Luke says quietly.
"He doesn't seem to sorry if he's making out with every girl he meets." A tear slides down my cheek and I barely whisper the words out.
"Look, yeah Ashton screwed up. He's a screw up for hurting you. But i promise things will get better." He pleads.
"I don't know. What if they don't?" I cross my arms.
"Then.." He trails off.
"Then what?" I raise an eyebrow.
Luke leans in and kisses me full on the lips. At first he just kissed me. But that quickly changed when I kissed him back.
Call me a player- but I needed this.
Luke snakes his arms around my waist and I do the same with his neck, not breaking the kiss.
When we finally break off, Luke says "then tell me how you feel after that." And he walks back into the crowd of people.
I glance over my shoulder to see Ashton looking at me from the couch, the girl obviously gone.
I give my head a small shake, turn around and get out of his sight.
