Ch.8 | When I saw you

"The carnival closes in 20 minutes!" A voice rang out over the loud speaker, as Ash and I hopped off the cart. "Have a nice night!" The Ferris wheel employee called after us. "Hey look!" Ash pointed at a game where you had to throw dart at balloons. "You can't do that" I lifted my chin, taunting him. He looks at me with mock disbelief. "You kidding." He laughed and gave the lady a dollar. "Watch me."

"I can't believe you got all but one" I shook my head as he threw his last dart, popping a purple ballon. "It's all in the arms!" He flexed his muscles. Oh god. They were perfect, and I had a fangirl moment inside my head. "Yeah yeah." I pushed his muscles away as a lady handed him a mini stuffed dolphin. "Congrats." The worker says with a monotone low voice "see you" I said in the same voice, and she straightened up, her eyes angry. I looked up at Ashton who had is hand over his mouth like he was gonna burst out any minute.

As we ran from the cart, Ashton burst out laughing and stopped "did...you...see...her...face!?" He got out after laughing so hard. I giggled and bit my lip. "Yeah, it was pretty priceless." We started to walk on the hot sandy pavement again and my phone buzzed "where are you and ash?! ;)" my face heated up and I quickly responded "at the carnival, why? And shuddup" Ash tried to glance over my shoulder "whatya doing?" I pushed him away, and he pretended to look hurt." "Phoebe texted me. She asked where we were. And I said here." "Oh." Ashton responded and brushed his hand lightly on my shoulder "Don't do that, it tickles." He smirked "so your ticklish?" My eyes widened "Ashton, no" I warned him and he tackled me on a bench, tickling me and I managed to get out "Ash... Stop" and stopped a little but a man walked by and said loudly "GOD GET A ROOM" it was then that I realized Ashton was hovering closely over me, out bodies almost touching. He got up, slightly embarrassed and played with the bottom of his tank top.

"Woops." I giggled as we walked to the beach, I got another text, but ignored it. This me and Ashton's time. I wasn't gonna waste it. "Woah, look!" Ashton pointed at the sand and found a baby hermit crab. "Awww it's so cute" I said in my animal voice "why do girls talk like that to animal?" Ashton points out and shakes his head. "Hey!" I say defensively. "It is cute." "Whatever." He rolls his eyes. We went down to the water and released the hermit crab, just as the sun started to set. "C'mon. Let's stay for a while." Ash grabs my hand as we sit down in the white sand. "I love sunsets." I finally sigh and look at the orange and pink clouds as the sun began to disspear under the blue Florida waters.

"I do too. They are kinda calming." Ashton shrugs as a breeze picks up and I scoot a little closer, feeling Ashton's breath hitch for a moment and I smiled in my head "he's just as nervous as I am." "Hey.. Ashton?" I looked at him "what?" He responded "you have something on your ear." I lingered my pointer finger on his neck and drew my thumb to his ear, brushing it off and his breathing became quicker, I giggled "there it's gone." I knew that would set him off like hell. Ashton looks at the sky for a moment then says without looking at me "you have something on your lips." "What?" I asked confused. He turned and crashed his lips into mine, and the butterflies came again. I kissed back this time, our lips synchronized together. After a few seconds I heard running in the sand and we quickly released, Phoebe and Calum running towards us. "Hey where were you guys?" Ashton just turned and smiled at me, and I returned it.
