Ch.28 When I saw you

I turned my head and quickly walked towards the entrance of the bar. Ignoring Ashton's burning stare.

He deserved to see it. I had no regrets kissing Luke. And Ashton better figure that out soon.

For an early July night, it was actually really cold. A Florida cold front? Never heard of it.

"Annabeth!" A familiar voice called my name. And in habit- I turn around to face Ashton, breathless from running to catch up with me.

"Ashton. I think it's best you leave." I say coldly and turn around to face a dim street lamp.

"Please. Annabeth hear me out!" He turns me around.

I scowl "Don't touch me Ashton."

"Annabeth I can't live without you." He pleads

That's it.

I whip around to face him "You know what Ashton? Living without you wasn't easy either? Do you know how long I sat alone? Do you know how I cried myself to sleep every night?"

"Annab-" he starts

"No let me finish." By now I had tears threatening to spill out.

"You abandoned me with hard words. You left me with the impression that you didn't care how I felt when you left me. And you know what? I thought I loved you." I stare right into his eyes.

"But I guess you couldn't love me back." by now tears fell down my face as I finished my semi speech.

"This is how you want it? Fine." His face displays no emotion as he walks away slowly.

I ran back to my apartment, blinding by my hair whipping in my face and my makeup all over my face making me look like a retarded clown.

Slamming the door shut, I throw myself on the couch and look at the unkept apartment in front of me.

I lay for minutes, crying and slapping the armrest of the couch. I'm such an idiot. Why did I fall in love. This is why love shouldn't exist.

My head started spinning, my head swayed slowly to the side and everything around me slowed down and stopped.

Blackness inked my eyes, and I got knocked out.

And today is Ash's bday so, he's 20 now... Just gonna go cry in the corner
