Chapter 9: The Agreeable Proposal

After the kiss, I tried to compose myself.It's just a kiss afterall.I tried to show my perfect smile to everyone so that I will look and appear happy to this engagement.Past midnight, when the parties over.We are all gathered for proper introduction.

I met Bailey's family.They are all nice.They gave us some time to talk.

"I didn't know it's you all along.I'm really sure, this won't work right?" I opened it up to him.

I'm not sure, but I think I saw him got mad, then for an instance he was on his poker face again.

"Definitely not!You and me together, is so impossible, I don't even see you as friend, much more like a wife,No way!" he answered me.

I'm also not into our marriage, but why it seemed like he dislikes me so much, maybe because I dislike him too.

"Very well then, let's plan and work out for our annulment" I happily said to him because it's going to be easy, he'll cooperate.

I saw that sudden hint of anger on his face again, yeah I know he doesn't like me, same with me tho, I don't like his bipolar attitude, his guts and everything.I just don't like him.

"Ofcourse, we are going to work on that, but can we discuss it some other time, other place.I don't want them to capture us talking about annulment, we are not married yet, for Christ's sake!" he said in conviction before leaving me alone.

What's with him?I'm just suggesting.That jerk!I hurriedly followed him.He's ignoring me the whole time, like I care!!!

We bidded goodbye at each other, not bad in-laws afterall.We headed home.

Months passed

I and Bailey didn't have a time to talk and see each other after the engagement because we are both busy.I heard he already move in, to his newly built house.Everytime we cross path on the corridors of the building, he's acting like he didn't see me or he doesn't know me at all.

I don't care about his attitude, I knew he's avoiding me,my internship will be done this day, yet he's not showing around, it's always Leynard whose sending the message he wants to relay.What's with him, damn his chaotic attitude!

I will gonna pay him a visit later!After the despedida and everything for our last day, I go straight ahead at Bailey's office.Leynard doesn't want me to get in.

"I'm sorry Miss Laxamana, but Sir Olivarez strictly ordered me not to let somebody disturb him without an appointment" Leynard stopped me.

My head heated out of rage, all I hated the most is being so tame and gullible at orders.I will show him, I'm not that kind of person.This guy will gonna taste my wrath for his boss.I smirked at him.

"Don't get in the way Leynard, oh by the way, let me introduce myself to you!I'm your boss' fiancee.We're getting married next month! now, if you love your job, let me in!!If you're smart and wise enough, you should know what I mean" I told him.

Shock was written all over his face, maybe it didn't process to his senses yet.He didn't move.

"I'll just gonna count until three, or you'll regret it, One!!!" I threatened him.
