Stars Shine Brighter when Im with You

Matt POV

"Well Tom, Edd, I think I'm gonna go-" "Aw Ok Matt! See you later then!" I stepped out of Edd's apartment, and walked back to my own. I didn't want to go, but anytime Tom got drunk it just bothered me. I'd been hanging out with them for a few hours, long enough for it to get dark outside. I opened my door, greeted by my favorite mirror. "Well Hello handsome~" I winked at my reflection. I closed the door behind me, remembering to lock it up this time. The moon's glow came into my dark kitchen,  and i watched dust float in the light. It was actually really pretty to just look at. I slipped off my overcoat, walking to my room to hang it up. I hit the light, seeing someone on MY bed!! I screamed, and the figure turned around. "Matt!! Calm down it's just me!!" I blinked a few times before I recognized the face. "What the heck Tord!?" "S-Sorry to frighten you! I just wanted to see if you wanted to hang out!!" Tord's face turned bright red. I took a few breaths to calm down. "As long as you don't plan on spooking me like that." I laughed quietly. Tord smiled "Well, I know a perfect spot just outside of the city." "Oh we're going out?" "Well not like out-out, just going out." "What is out out?" "You know, like a date." Now I was the one turning pink! "O-Oh yeah I gotcha."

Tord POV

Oh, it was cute when Matt blushed. I wish I could've captured a picture of it. "Well, I'm ready when you are Matt." "Well, I'm ready now." I started to leave by the window I came in from, but I turned to Matt "Probably better if you just go on down. I'd like to avoid being seen by you-know-who." "Of course." Matt turned and walked out of sight as I climbed down to ground level. I stood off in the shadow and lit a cigar. I looked out across the city, which was surprisingly quiet except for the alley cat fight across the way. Matt Walked out and put his hands in his pockets. "I'll show you where it's at Matt." He walked over to me, looking a little nervous. "Hey, Tord? C-Can I hold your hand? Its a little creepy at night." My eyes went wide as I felt my face heat up. I was thankful for the shadow keeping my face dark. "Sure I guess-" I put out my cigar and held my hand out to Matt, and he quickly grabbed onto me. His hands were warm and soft against my hardened hand. I kept my right arm hidden as we walked through the alley towards the woods.

Matt POV

"Wow, Tord...Its beautiful out here..." We lay close to each other on top of a grassy hill, gazing at the stars. "I come here sometimes when I'm stressed out. But the stars have never looked this beautiful...heh, guess they shine brighter when I'm with you." I stopped for a moment. Did he really just say that?! Guess he had the same thought, cause Tord instantly went quiet and back to looking at the sky. The coolness of the grass tickled my neck but in an almost sweet manner. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I pulled it out to look at the text. "Matt, where r u?" It was a text from Edd. Tord looked over and read the text "Just say you're with a friend." And that's exactly what I typed. "O well Tom and I wanted to know if u wanted to watch a movie but I guess ur busy so we can watch it tomorrow" I didn't respond that time. Was that lying or being honest? I mean I was keeping that my friend was Tord, but Edd didn't ask who my friend was, so it's technically the truth.

Tord POV

I knew he was worried about being here now that he got those texts. "Hey, Matt, if you wanna leave you can." Please say no- "No no, I'd rather be here with you. Tom's probably still drunk anyway. He's no fun to be around like that. He calls you all kinds of names and says mean things about you, and I don't like it..." "That sounds like him." I sighed. Tom never could quite let go of things, no matter how much you tried to get him to. "Don't worry about it Matt, I'm not easily offended." I laughed. That is one thing that was true. Matt smiled at that and seemed more at ease. I pointed at a constellation "See that group of stars right there?" "Mhm.." "They call it Canis Major. Looks kinda like a dog if you connect the dots." Matt squinted, "I see it!! It does look like a dog!"

3rd Person POV

The two lay there pointing out different shapes, laughing and smiling into the late hours. Tord's watched beeped as he looked to check the time "My stars Matt it's midnight. Better get you back home before Edd and Tom think you've been kidnapped." "Aw man...think we can do this tomorrow? I had a lot of fun with you!" "Of course Matt." "Yay!" He hugged Tord tightly, leaving Tord in a state of awe. Matt let him go, and offered his hand to Tord "Ready to go Tord?" Tord grabbed his hand after shaking off the frozen feeling. "Y-Yeah."
