Matt sat up, yawning as a cold draft came in his bedroom from the half-open window. He opened his eyes, taking notice of something that was certainly not there when he went to sleep. "Hey...who put a note on my face!!" He pulled the note off, looking at the messy handwriting.
"Matt-
Tom and I went out to the store. We will be back later. Also, you left your door unlocked again!
~Edd"
"Oh. Well, more time for me then!" He lept out of bed, looking around the walls of his bedroom. "Good morning me! And Me, and me and me and-" He would have continued saying hello to every single picture of him covering the walls but was cut off by a knocking at his apartment door. "Oh, Edd and Tom are back already?" He walked over and looked out of the peephole in the door, only seeing two tufts of auburn colored hair. "Hmm...who is it?" The tufts bounced as the figure they were attached to coughed before speaking, obviously trying to hide something in his voice. He sounded raspy, almost like he had a cold. "It's...an old friend." "A friend?! Well, why didn't you say so!?" "I...just did. Now please open up." "Oh, ok!" Matt slowly pulled the door open, a little cautious. The figure walked in quickly so that Matt could not see his face. "Tom and Edd. Are they here?" "You know my friends too??" "Yes, now Matthew please answer the question." "No, they're out at the grocery store getting a few things." The figure pulled down his hood, and half-way turned to face Matt. "Its been a long time Matt." Matt stared at him for a moment, eyes going wide. There was no way! "T-Tord?"
Matt POV
Impossible! How was Tord here?! With me?! I took a few breaths to calm down. "Yes, Matt. I'm glad you remember." Tord stopped hiding the accent in his voice, as I listened to what he had to say. "Did you miss me?" I was quiet. Truth be told, I really did. I never said it around Edd or Tom, not after the whole giant-robot-blows-up-our-house incident. Everyone makes mistakes, and I'd long forgiven Tord. "You can say, no, I'd get it, I mean I'm not sure if I'd forgive me either-" "Yes," I spoke quietly. "After you left, we all kinda were close then jut...i dunno, drifted apart. We see each other only every 3 or 4 days." I sighed. I missed all of us being close. Maybe its because we all needed to adjust? Think things over maybe? I sure felt fine. I thought about the picture I found and hid from Tom and Edd in the rubble. It was a picture of Tord and me! It was kinda old and reminded me of that Halloween incident a while back.
It was my favorite! Well, besides the ones of just me. Those were the best...maybe. "Wait really? You missed me? I thought for sure you wouldn't. But anywayssss...I'm sure you're wondering why I'm here, yes?" "Well, I figured maybe you'd just shown up for a nice visit!" "You could call it that I suppose." Tord gave a half smile, keeping his right arm hidden in his hoodie. "Hey Tord, what up with your arm?"
Tord POV
Damn it! Of course, Matt would notice that. I slowly pulled my arm out of my hoodie pouch, the cool red metal sparkling in the light. "WOAH." Matt stared at it for a moment "How'd THAT happen?" "Eh...I don't suggest yanno...Breaking your arm so bad that um...it has to get replaced so to speak." "Well gosh, Tord it looks really cool!" "Well thank you, Matt. Most are a little disturbed by it." "Nah It's cool. Say, you hungry?" Matt never could stick to a topic for a long time. I had plenty more I could have said, but just gave a simple nod to answer his question. "Well then let's go out! Like old times!" "Umm Matt I appreciate the offer, but I-" there was a loud knocking on his door, one that I recognized. Tom. "Matt I need to hide! Don't tell EITHER of them I'm here or its gonna get REALLY UGLY." "Like that weird monster, Tom turned into that one time?" "No- I- Matt just don't say anything!" I dashed off into his bedroom, sliding under the bed amongst frames of Matt's pictures. I felt glass crack under my elbow, quickly lifting my arm to avoid any cuts from glass. I looked at the picture in the frame, listening to Matt open the door to his apartment and hearing the voices of Edd and...Tom. I examined it in the low light, squinting to make out what it was of. Matt stood to the left of...Me? I recalled back on the memory and smiled. "Heh, he kept the picture..." "Matt, did you hear something?" I silenced quickly at the sound of Edd's voice. "Nope!" Matt quickly covered. I gave a sigh of relief as I just stared at the picture, and waited for the two to leave.
