In the time Saul, Patryke, Matt, and Tom had been together, they had become to be great friends. It was a very special bond the four shared, one of trust and caring. Matt had grown to become a little distant though...He was quiet more, often just staring outside. He missed Tord greatly...wasnt he looking for him? How come he hadnt even seen one of the soldiers walking the streets? Had...Tord forgotten about him? Surely Edd was looking for Tom, maybe he would find them! But then again...maybe they'd both been forgotten. Tom sat by Matt, noticing the distress in his friend's eyes.
"Im sure they're looking for us Matt, we just have to hang on to that little strand of hope."
"But what if they arent!! Shouldnt they have found us by now?? Tord has eyes everywhere Tom, he should have seen you and I!!"
The ginger wiped tears off his cheeks, face red with frustration. Tom gently hugged Matt, sighing into his chest. Tom understood the hopelessness Matt felt. That kind of hopelessness had followed him all his life...Tom remained silent as Matt hugged back, closing his eyes a moment.
Tord and Edd finally decided to just go out on their own to look for their lovers. Surely they were close by, this was the closest city to the Red Army base. Tord had his hair back in a ponytail to keep himself from being recognized by any Blue Army operatives...you could never be too careful when it came to these guys. Tom and Matt were sitting in the window seat, Tom able to look out the window and see...was that EDD?! It seemed Edd had seen them too, dashing into the cafe. Tord slowly turned, seeing Matt talking to Edd.
"E: Oh you have no idea how hard we've been looking for you two!!"
"We've been looking for you and Tord all over, we even got some help!!"
Tord walked in, for a moment, making eye contact with Matt. Matt's eyes went wide, tearing up as a smile appeared on his face, rushing out of the booth and nearly tackling Tord! No words were spoken, the two just stood there for a long minute in a loving embrace...Tom walked over to Tord, Edd by his side.
"T: How...did you get out?"
"Well, we had some help from-"
Tord recognized Saul and Patryke despite their outfits, quickly drawing his gun, but Matt stopped him.
"M: D-Dont!! They're friends!! They helped us e-escape!!"
Tord looked at Matt as if he lost his mind, but put his gun away anyway. Matt wouldnt ever lie to him...Saul and Patryke looked at each other in relief, quietly walking over.
"S: Sir, we'd like to offer our services to you. We've spent too much time being treated as useless, and from what I've seen.."
"P: We've seen..."
"M: Oh Tord we have to keep them, pleaseee?? They rescued us and..and.."
Tord sighed, shrugging softly.
"T: Fine, but the second they act out of sorts-"
"M: Oh thank you thank you thank you!!!"
Matt hugged Tord softly, lifting him up off the ground.
"M: I missed you Tord..."
"T: I missed you too Matt..."
