Close Calls and Sweet Dreams

Tord POV

I never planned on anything laying out the way it had. I only had been visiting Matt so that I'd have less guilt weighing on my shoulders. The look on his face when he realized that I'd betrayed him. The fear that lingered in his eyes when I hit him. I'd been thinking about that look for the past year. I tried to shake the feeling every time, but I never was able to. As I walked Matt home, I looked around the city streets. Most everything was dark now, as I'd totally lost track of time star gazing. Matt's hand in mine sent a shiver down my back. "Are you cold Tord?" "No, just was thinking about something is all." "Are you sure?" "Positive." Matt smiled, going back to looking ahead. We were nearly back to his apartment now, and honestly, I wasn't ready for the night to end. "Hey Matt, what if you went home with me tonight?" I spoke quietly, but apparently too quietly. "What was that Tord?" "O-Oh nothing." Matt shrugged as we reached the entrance. "I had a good time Tord...thanks for this." He smiled, "let's do this again tomorrow. It'll be just as amazing!" His eyes almost seemed to sparkle. "Y-Yup!" I felt a strange tingle within the depths of my soul. I swore I heard voices telling me to- no. There was no way I could do that! I needed to leave. "Tord are you ok?" "I-I need to go." I turned and darted off.

Matt POV

"Tord, wait!!!" I started to run after him, but he was faster than me. I stopped running, sighing heavily. Was it something I said? Guess I'd have to wait till tomorrow to find out. I heard chatter behind me as I turned to see Edd and Tom. "Oh hey, guys!" "Matt!" Edd ran up to me and pulled me into a hug. Though I swore, I felt eyes watching him. "Tom and I were rather worried! I knocked on your door because I know you don't like being out past 10, and when you didn't answer I thought something terrible might've happened!" I smiled feeling a little awkward. "Y-Yeah I'm just fine." I gently nudged him off. I felt the eyes look away now. But I didn't see anyone there..."Tom walked up to me with a confused look. "Where have you been Matt?" "I went out stargazing with a friend of mine." "That friend wouldn't happen to smoke cigars would they?" I started to panic. If Tom found out I was hanging out with Tord, he might hate me too!! "Umm...I don't think so, why do you ask?" I tapped my fingers together, trying to remain as calm as possible "Oh, no reason. You just happen to smell of them." "Heh heh heh...h-how odd. Well I'm awful tired, I really should be heading to bed now ok bye!" I dashed inside, quickly heading up the stairs to my room. I slammed my apartment door shut, trying to catch my breath. I slumped down against my door. "Oh gosh...I hope they don't get TOO suspicious..." I combed my hair back with my fingers, standing up and walking off to my room. I quickly threw off my clothes and put on Pajamas, flopping down on my bed.

Tord POV

Call me creepy, but I was watching him the whole time. I wonder if he knew I was there. I'll admit it when Edd hugged him I felt jealousy rise in me. I didn't want anyone else messing with him, friend or not. I waited an hour or so until I knew Matt was asleep. I crept in through the window and looked at him for a while. He looked so...peaceful. Not a worry in the world. I got close enough to feel his breath on my face. I hesitated. I knew the voices wouldn't leave me alone unless I did it. I pressed a kiss to his cheek. Thankfully he didn't wake up but did seem to smile in his dream...so cute...I ran a hand through his soft hair, the scent of that nice shampoo he used filling the room. Nobody plans on falling in love, but I think I just did...
