Chapter Three

~~One Year Later~~

I was getting ready to go to The Hall of Justice, when I got a call from Batman telling me that the icicle family was attacking civilians. I needed to go help Robin at a park near me, so I put on my suit and a domino mask. I ran to the park and saw Robin behind a rock. I walked up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Gah!" He jumped, I laughed and put a hand over our mouths to keep us quiet.

"Would you like to do the honors?" He laughed as I removed my hand. I looked over the rock and saw Freeze freezing a family in ice.

"No thanks! I've got a plan. Throw those and Follow my lead!" I whispered, with that, Rob threw a batarang at Freeze.

"Batman, I was wondering when-" We interrupted Freeze by, running up to him, jumping as high as we could, then landing on his head, all while letting out one of our famous laughs. We did a graceful backflip and landed on the ground. Robin grabbed two batarangs and threw them at Freeze's glass helmet, creating some cracks.

"Sorry Freeze, but we are the closest thing your gonna get to Bats right now." I laughed, Robin stood beside me. I put my elbow on his shoulder.

"Oh, RedStart... Boy Wonder... The bat sent you to drag me off to prison, frankly I'm underwhelmed." Freeze gave us a bored expression. We rolled our eyes, annoyed.

"Great! But, we're kinda' in a hurry here!" Rob furrowed his eyebrows, looking right behind Freeze at Batman.

"Kids, always in such a rush." Freeze smirked, backing up a little.

"Not talking to you..." We taunted, waiting for our mentor. Freeze turned around, only to be met with a punch in the face, shattering the glass and knocking him out.

"C'mon! C'mon! C'mon! We're gonna be late! And today is THE day!" I exclaimed worriedly.

"We'll get there in time! In fact, we'll probably be the first ones there!" Robin laughed, catching up to me. We all got into the batmobile and started heading towards The Hall of Justice. When we arrived, as suspected, we were the first ones there.

"Ok, Rob, you were right... Where is everyone else anyway?" That exact moment, Speedy, Green Arrow, Aquaman, and Aqualad arrived. "Took you guys long enough," I laughed, doing a handstand. I walked forward, on my hands, towards Speedy. "Roy!" I giggled, standing on my feet again. "I I haven't seen you in a while! You either Aqualad!" I walked up to both of them and gave them a hug.

"Todays the day." Batman gave Rob and I a half smile as he put a hand on Rob's shoulder.

"Welcome to the Hall of Justice." Green Arrow smiled.

"Headquarters of the Justice League." Aquaman put a hand on Aqualad's shoulder.

"Aw man! I knew we were gonna be the last ones here!" I heard the, all too familiar, voice of Kid Flash exclaim.

"Wally!" I ran up to him, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Red!" He laughed, nuzzling his face into the Crook of my neck. Wally's arms snaked around my waist, as I tried to pull away. I looked at Robin for help and he nodded.

"KF, let her go," Robin stated calmly.

"Yeah, let me go, Wally." I struggled in his grip. "If you don't... Well, I will increase your pain to 300% then kick you where the sun don't shine," I said to him in a bittersweet tone with a smile on my face. As a response to my last comment, he let me go. I walked back to Rob and threw my arms around him. "You can have a hug too, mostly because I like hugs," I whispered the last part as he returned the hug. I pulled away and we started walking to the Hall of Justice. We walked through a crowd of press members and fans, hearing a few comments along the way.
