Time's run short.

You must awaken.

You must awaken, NOW!!

I gasped, opening my crystal-green eyes. I heard the others gasp and wake up at the same time I did.

"What-w-what do you want?!" Was KF's immediate reaction to our situation, wrists bound to a pod. "Quit staring, it's creeping me out!" Wally ordered the clone as it watched us, unfazed whatsoever.

"KF, how about we not tick off the guy who can fry us with a look." Robin suggested, whispering to the yellow speedster.

"We only sought to help you." Aqualad convinced, tried to anyway, to no avail.

"Yeah! We free you and you turn on us, how is that for gratitu-" Wally started, me interrupting him.

"KF, shut up!" I ordered, causing the ginger-haired speedster to immediately stop talking.

"I believe our new friend was not in full control of his actions." Kaldur answered as he turned his gaze to the yellow foodster. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a lockpick come out of one of Rob's gloved fingers and him start to pick the lock. I shot him a jealous look, since my suit doesn't have any cool gadgets. In return, Robin just stuck his tongue out at me, I just rolled my eyes and turned my attention back onto the conversation.

"What if I-what if I wasn't." Supey responded to Aqualad's comment. I started to feel bad for the teen, not having any friends or family.

"He can talk?!" Wally asked with surprise painted on his features. If only I was able to move, I would've hit him so hard upside the head.

"Yes, HE can." Supey said, enfacising the 'he' as he balled his hands into fists. I mentally facepalmed as I glared at Kid Flash, wishing I could do something more painful and brutal.

"Really Kid?!" I sighed, rather annoyed.

"Not like I said 'it'." Wally defended, making my mental facepalm enhance.

"The genomorphs taught you, telepathically." Kaldur more stated then asked.

"They taught me much. I can read, write, I know the names of things." The superman clone answered.

"But have you seen them? Have they ever actually let you see the sky? The sun?" Rob asked, seemingly curious.

"Images are implanted in my brain but, no, I have not actually seen them." Supey looked down, sadly.

"Do you know what you are? Who you are?" Kaldur interrogated, never breaking eye contact.

"I am the Superboy, a genomorph a clone, made from the DNA of the Superman, created to replace should he perish, to destroy him should he turn away from the light." Supey answered with a monotone expression and voice. Us teen superheroes exchanged surprised glances.

"To be like Superman is a worthy asperation, but like Superman, you deserve a life of your own, beyond your solarsuit, beyond your pod, beyond Cadmus." Aqualad's statement made Superboy a little bit angry.

"I live because of Cadmus! It is my home!" Superboy yelled, earning a response from me.

"Yeah, well, sorry to break this to you but your so called "home" is a glorified test tube." I sympathetically stated, only telling the truth.

"We can show you the sun." Rob finished for me, soon followed by Wally.

"Uh, pretty sure it's after midnight, but we can show you the moon." He bargained, for once being the voice of reason.
