*Timius POV*

Everyone was becoming anxious the longer the ride dragged on. Finally, we arrived in Windhelm. Taking not more than a few seconds, we rushed inside, searching every bookshelf and crack and crevice, but to no luck.

"Where on Earth are all of her Black Books?" Lindsey proclaimed, leaning on a discolored wall. Suddenly, we all heard what sounded like metallic cranking before the door Lindsey was leaning on opened. With a shower of dirt and soot, the floor of the fire place that we could see in the home gave a shudder, before moving into another panel, revealing a staircase. We all glanced at each other, before nodding and taking the stairs one by one. The cellar, if we could call it that, smelled of must, with at least an inch of dust covering everything. In the dead center of the room, sat a fireplace, its hearth stone cold, with bookshelves surrounding both sides. On the bookshelves were all manner of books, with the very top shelves holding Black Books. We each grabbed one, knowing they would all transport us to a different point in Apocrypha, but we would still meet back here no matter what.

"Ready?" I said, and both Brooke and Lindsey looked at me, nodding. Travis seemed doubtful about these books, but nodded nonetheless. As we each opened a book, I noticed them struggling, before I also saw the chains spring from mine. It felt like my brain was being squeezed, before everything became dark. I was transported to a weird looking world, where books decorated everything, making up the walls, floor and sometime the furniture.

"What the hell?" I said aloud when I noticed something green and oozing from one of the walls. The closer I got, the more it seemed to be... whispering? It suddenly shuddered, before turning around and showing me one of the most disgusting faces I had ever seen. I thrust my weapon into its face, but had to repeatedly strike it before it actually died.

"So that's what they look like in real life..." I mused, before shuddering and continuing on. The more twists and turns I took, the more I could hear... voices? Out of nowhere, loud and clear, I heard Sakaji's voice," Hermaeus, I need you to help me get to my friends. I will give you any knowledge you desire."

"Any knowledge you say?" A twisted and contorted voice said. I couldn't make out the rest of what it said, but then I heard a grunt of pain, followed by a scream. However, there was nothing I could do, as I felt something large and bony hit the back of my head. My vision faded, and I was back in the cellar, looking around for the rest of them. My book shuddered and closed, not budging to open again.

*Lindsey POV*

When I opened my book, I was immediately met with a shining, metallurgic, black sea on three sides of me, with a simple metal pathway going through the fourth. Either side of the pathway was covered with books, forming a wall, with glowing green, red and blue lanterns outlining breaks in the passageway. I hesitantly took a step, and that's when I heard something big and heavy fall behind me. Turning slowly, I saw the most hideous creature ever. It's entire body was covered in pale skin, its bulbous head containing one eyeball and a huge mouth. It has spikes and fins covering its arms, legs and back, and it let out a screech, showing a mouthful of teeth. I immediately turned and ran, hearing the thuds of the creatures footsteps not far behind. I felt something warm and liquidy hit my back, before giving way to a burning pain.

"It can shoot acid!?!" I yelled as I picked up the pace. Turning left, then right, followed by three more rights, I entered into a large chamber, the creature close at hand. A door thudded between the way we came and the way out, forcing me to face my opponent. It slowly inched closer, only kept at bay by my axes. I threw one into its head, only to see it slowed a little. Thinking quickly, I shouted, "FUS RO DAH", staggering the disgusting creature. I quickly ran forward and buried my other axe into its head, grateful when it didn't move again.
