————"I'm back," Sighed Enid, swinging the wooden front door of her house open while still holding the Pokémon egg with her free hand. "Sorry it took me a bit long to get back home."
Donovan, who was sitting on the chair behind the counter gave his sister a warm smile. "That's fine, I managed to take care of this place myself since there weren't much people coming in."
"Really? And how were the Pokémon? " Enid asked her brother. She placed the incubator which has the egg on the circular wooden table, Enid walked closer to her brother while Blue watched the egg with excitement and curiosity— wondering what was inside the egg and when will it hatch.
"I let most of them go now since they were fully healed, but the rest were well behaved and some are slowly getting better and better." He said, looking at Enid. Then, Donovan caught his eye on the egg and shifted his eyes back to his little sister. "An egg? Did the Professor gave it to you?" He asked, and Enid nodded. "Yeah, he thought if whatever Pokémon was inside that egg would make a great addition to my team." She told him and Donovan nodded in agreement, "You do take really good care of Pokémon whether or not if it's yours or not, so I agree with Birch."
Blue let out a happy cry, saying that the fighting and steel type Pokémon agreed with what Donovan said and went back to watching the egg seeing if it's hatching now. Enid giggled and sighed, "I guess you're right." she told her brother and then turned around to face Blue. "Hey Blue, if we want that egg to hatch faster then we better take it to a jog."
"Lucario!" Blue nodded in agreement and grabbed the incubator, both him, Enid and the egg went outside. Leaving Donovan alone once again.
A Joltik then climbed up the counter, Donovan noticed it and smiled at it. "Out of your Pokéball again, huh?"
Joltik was one of the Pokémon that was in Donovan's team along with Gallade, Magneton, Magnezone and Noctowl. Joltik was the careful one in the team, being small and all and is constantly careful on where he was going. And when Donovan sees him out of his Pokéball he can only guess one thing.
And that was because his Joltik was hungry.
"I'm guessing that you're hungry, eh?" He asked, arching an eyebrow and giving the little spider Pokémon a playful smirk. The Joltik nodded and he crawled up to Donovan's shoulders, Donovan sighed. "Okay, let's go to the kitchen and feed you and the others."

"Hm, the Pecha Berries seem to be okay." Enid commented, observing the growing (small) trees that were soon to have Pecha Berries. Blue, who was holding the incubator with the egg nodded in agreement. "Lu, lucario!"
The girl giggled and looked at her Lucario, "Come on. We better get home before sun down." she said as she grabbed her Lucario's paw and leaded him out to the deepest part of the forest and back to their house. "I'm home." Enid announced when she just opened the door, suddenly a Noctowl flew by her and this made Enid startled.
"Noctowl! Don't just fly around the house like that!" Donovan scolded his Pokémon, but Noctowl simply stared at her trainer and snickered a bit which slightly offended Donovan. "Hey! What's so funny?"
Enid laughed silently at this and smiled. "Your Noctowl seems like a prankster kind of type." Donovan sighed and nodded in agreement, "Yeah ... she's been like that ever since she was just a small Hoothoot, tho I got to admit it can be tough for me sometimes." he said, trying to keep a positive attitude. "I mean— not that I'm not happy to have her around, it's just sometimes she can be kind of ... er, handful."
Enid gave him a small nod. "I understand what you mean."

Enid stepped outside the recovery room from checking on the injured Pokémon only to see Donovan watching television attentively, and by closer inspection he seemed to be watching the weather podcast. "Welp, there's a storm incoming tonight," He sighed and got up from the couch, looking straight to Enid. "We should prepare the candles just in case there's a black out."
"A storm?" Enid said in a confused tone, "But the weather seems so nice today ... I don't get it." she stated. Donovan shrugged, "Weather itself is confusing, Enid. Let's just prepare candles just in case." he replied and went up the stairs to go find some candles.
Enid was left alone in the room and sighed in defeat, "Fine ...." she groaned. She hated black outs and since their house was located in the forest they would constantly get black outs when there's a huge storm incoming, it wasn't the best.
But she decided to follow her brother's orders anyway, seeing it was for the best to prepare candles.

A/N: Sorry for the wait! And sorry for this chapter being so short too.
Oh, and I seem to forgot to tell you guys something important. The Red here in my story is the Red in Pokemon Origins, not the one based on the original Red and Blue games since imo that Red wasn't too interesting, that Red is just ... quiet, the typical silent Pokémon master. And don't get me wrong! I love every version of Red, but in my opinion the Origins Red is the best one in my eyes (since I don't read the manga) since he was more of the typical silent type.
Also Red's age in this story is 16, a year older than Enid.
That's it for now, bye~
