John's dad walked him up to his classroom. He put all of his things in his cubby and sat down in front of the turtle tank. He loved watching them swim and splash around.
Eliza came running up to him. "John!"
"Hi, Eliza!" John said hugging her.
"Do you want to come play with me?"
"Yeah!"
"Let's play...dress up!"
"Okay!"
John and Eliza walked over to the bin of costumes and props and started dressing each other up. After a while, their teacher, Mr. Washington, called the kids over. John and Eliza took off their costumes and sat down.
"I have some good news today. We have a new student; his name is Alexander." Mr. Washington said while introducing Alex to the class.
"Hi!" Alex said nervously.
"Would anyone like to help him out his first couple of days?" Mr. Washington asked.
John and Eliza looked at each other smiling. "We will!" they both screamed.
"I know I can count on you two!" He smiled. "Alex this is Eliza and John."
Alex blushed. Eliza and John did too.
